DESIGN FOR FANCY CASSIMERES.

Specifcation forming part of Design No. 8,315, dated May 11, 1875 application filed April l2, 1875.

To all whom it muy concern: 2e it known that l, FREDERICK SNOW WORTH, ofthe city and county ot' Providence, and State of Rhode Island, have invented a new and Improved Design for Fancy Cassimcre Fabrics 5 and I do hereby declare that the following specification, taken in connection with the drawings making a part thereof', is a full, clear, and exact description thereof.

The eil'ect of my novel design will be apparent on an inspection of the accompanying drawings, to which reference is math Said eli'cct is produced by the arrangement of the diagonal and transverse bars, which are so placed upon the ground-work of the fabric as to appear in longitudinal, transverse, and diagonal stripes.

The diagonal bars A all have an inclination in the saine direction, and are so arranged as to alternate with the transverse bars B, both in the longitudinal and transverse stripes. The diagonal stripes, however, are diii'erently formed, in that a series Or row of diagonal bars, A, forms one stripe, and a series or row of transverse bars forms the next or alternate stripe.

The design may be placed upon a ground ot' plain or fancy weaving, and any preferred variety of colors may be used for producing a desirable effect.

That I claim as my invention, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is-

The design for fancy cassimere fabrics, as herein set forth, and represented in the dran'- ings.
