Smeermiddel voor de metaalbewerking.
De uitvinding heeft betrekking op een verbinding, die geschikt is voor met water te verdunnen smeermiddel voor de bewerking van metalen, werkwijze ter bereiding van deze verbinding en een toepassing van deze verbinding.
5 Smeermiddelen op basis van minerale olieprodukten worden ge woonlijk toegepast bij verspanende bewerkingen van metalen, zoals boren, draaien, walsen, draadtappen en slijpen. Soms bestaan de smeermiddelen uit waterige emulsies. Voorts wordt een groot aantal toevoegsels toegepast bijv. de smering verbeterende toevoegsels voor toepassing onder extreem 10 hoge druk.
De steeds toenemende eis van een bevredigende werkomgeving en welzijn bij het werk tijdens de laatste jaren heeft belangstelling gewekt voor nieuwe soorten smeermiddelen voor de bewerking van metalen. Een onbevredigende werkomgeving en daarmee verband houdende medische ongemakken 15 zijn gebruikelijke bezwaren van de tot dusver in de technische industrie toegepaste produkten. Zo veroorzaken de produkten op basis van minerale olie rook en oliemist in de arbeidsruimte en vervuiling in en om de machines.
De minerale olie en de toegepaste toevoegsels kunnen irritatie van de huid, exzeem en allergieën veroorzaken. Bij langdurig kontakt met de huid bestaat 20 er risico voor kanker. Ook bestaat risico voor longschade bij inademing van de met olie gemengde lucht.
Tijdens de laatste jaren is uit verschillende bronnen gerapporteerd, dat kanker verwekkende middelen in snijvloeistoffen aanwezig zijn. Minerale olie bevat polyaromatische koolwaterstoffen, bijv. benzpyrenen.
25 Voorts is het wegens de hoge temperatuur in de snijzone waarschijnlijk, dat bij het gebruik van de produkten polyaromaten gevormd worden.
Om de bovenstaande bezwaren van de toepassing van smeermiddelen op basis van minerale olie voor de bewerking van metalen te verminderen, is men min of meer overgegaan op emulsies van minerale olie. Hierdoor worden 30 de problemen van oliemist en olierook in zekere mate verminderd. Deze produkten heffen echter de moeilijkheden voor wat betreft milieu allesbehalve op.
Bovendien bezit de minerale olie op zichzelf een beperkt smeer-vermogen. Daarom moeten vele verschillende toevoegsels aan het smeermiddel 35 worden toegevoegd. Evenals de minerale olie kunnen deze toevoegsels huid-irritaties veroorzaken. Behalve de toevoegsels voor het verbeteren van de smeerwerking moeten de bekende emulsies van minerale olie speciale emulgeer-middelen, corrosie-inhibitors en bactericidemiddelen bevatten. - 2 - de samenstelling van een minerale olie-emulsie betrekkelijk gecompliceerd.
Daardoor is het moeilijk uit te vinden welke verbinding of verbindingen in een specifiek geval moeilijkheden veroorzaakt of veroorzaken.
5 Zodoende bestaat er een grote behoefte aan de mogelijkheid een milieuvriendelijk en goed funktionerend smeermiddel voor de bewerking van metalen te verschaffen, d.w.z. een milieuvriendelijk smeermiddel,dat door een goed smeervermogen en koelvermogen bij hogere oppervlakte drukken en/of hoge snij- en omkeersnelheden produkten geeft, die een gewenst uiter-10 lijk, tolerantie en afwerking van de oppervlakte vertonen en tegelijkertijd minder slijtage veroorzaakt van de gebruikte werktuigen.
Volgens de uitvinding is het verrassenderwijs gelukt aan de bovenstaande behoefte te voldoen en een verbinding te ontwikkelen voor een met water verdunbaar smeermiddel voor de bewerking van metalen. Deze ver-15 binding heeft tot kenmerk, dat hij de formule (1) bezit, waarin R een alkylrest met 3-15 koolstofatomen voorstelt; een eventueel gesubstitueerde en/of eventueel onverzadigde alkylrest of een eventueel gesubstitueerde arylrest met 4-30 koolstofatomen voorstelt; 1*2 een eventueel gesubstitueerde alkylrest, een alkyleenrest, een arylrest, 20 een gesubstitueerde arylrest, een cycloalifatische rest of een gesubstitueerde cycloalifatische rest met 1-20 koolstofatomen voorstelt; en R^ een geprotoneerd amine of alkalimetaalkation voorstelt; m een getal is met een waarde van 3-8; n( n en 25 p een getal is met een waarde van 0,5-8, bij voorkeur 0,5-3.
Bijzondere voordelen worden verkregen, wanneer men de verbinding volgens de uitvinding als enige of als voornaamste verbinding in smeermiddelen op waterbasis toepast. De verbinding kan dan opgelost of geëmulgeerd worden in water. De verkregen oplossingen, respectievelijk emul-30 sies worden uiterst stabiel. Voorts bezitten zij een uitermate goed smerend vermogen. De corrosie-tegengaande eigenschappen zijn eveneens zeer bijzonder. Dit is bijv. van toepassing op ijzer, ijzerlegeringen, aluminium, aluminium-legeringen, kopen en koperlegeringen.
Volgens een uitvoeringsvorm kan een smeermiddel op waterbasis, 35 dat gereed is voor het gebruik, bijv. 70-99 gew.% water, bij voorkeur 90-99 gew.% water bevatten, terwijl de rest of het grootste deel van de rest uit de verbinding volgens de uitvinding bestaat.
Het is bijzonder, dat een smeermiddel op waterbasis, dat tot 99 gew.% water bevat, een goed smerend vermogen en een goede corrosie tegen- 81 0 0 95 4 r a» - 3 - gaande eigenschappen verschaft.
Zowel uit milieu- als uit economisch oogpunt is het natuurlijk van voordeel, dat een goed werkend smeermiddel, dat een dergelijk hoog water-gehalte bevat, volgens de uitvinding bereid kan worden.
5 Volgens een tweede uitvoeringsvorm kan een smeermiddel op waterbasis, dat voor het gebruik gereed is, bijv. 1-50 gew.% water bevatten, terwijl de rest of het grootste deel van de rest uit de verbinding volgens de uitvinding bestaat. Het water kan dan in de verbinding opgelost of geëmulgeerd worden. Een dergelijk smeermiddel met een betrekkelijk hoog 10 gehalte aan de onderhavige verbinding is bijzonder geschikt voor metaalbewerkingen, waarbij de aan filmsterkte en smerend vermogen gestelde eisen hoog zijn.
Volgens een derde uitvoeringsvorm kan de verbinding volgens de uitvinding toegepast worden als een van de verbindingen in een smeer-15 middel op waterbasis, dat bijv. minerale olie, synthetische esters, poly-alkyleenglycoladducten of vette oliën van plantaardige of dierlijke herkomst kan bevatten. De verbinding kan dan worden toegepast om een beter smerend vermogen, een beter tegengaan van corrosie en een betere stabiliteit van de emulsie te geven.
20 :*Een bijzonder geschikte verbinding volgens de uitvinding, die bestemd is om toegepast te worden in een met water verdunnend smeermiddel voor de bewerking van metalen, welk smeermiddel aanwezig als een emulsie of oplossing, bezit de formule (1), waarin R een groep met de formule (2) voorstelt; 25 R^een groep of C^H.^ voorstelt; R2 een groep C^, C^, C^Hg, C?H14, CgH^, of voorstelt;
Rg® een geprotoneerd triethanolamine, diethanolamine, N.N-dimethylamino-methylpropanol, N.Nldimethylethanolamine of triisopropanolamine voorstelt; m = 4; 30 n = 2,0-3,5; Ρ ~ 0,5—2,0, welke verbinding geëmulgeerd of opgelost wordt in water.
Dit smeermiddel geeft een bijzonder goed effekt, bijv. bij slijpen,boren, draadtappen, ruimen en draaien.

Wanneer R^ hierbij een onverzadigde rest voorstelt, kan deze rest gesulfureerd worden. Hierdoor kan het smeereffekt onder extreme druk 10 van de verbinding nog verbeterd worden.
Specifieke verbindingen volgens de uitvinding bezitten de formule (1), waarin R een groep met de formule (2) voorstelt, R^ een groep
C_H„_ of C._H-0 voorstelt, en een waarde heeft van 2,0-3,5, R- een groep / lo 1 / OJ Z
C2H4, CgHg, C4Hg, C7H14, CgH16, C2H2 Of C6H4 voorstelt, Rg een geproto-15 neerd triethanolamine, diethanolamine, N.N-dimethylaminomethylpropanol, N.N-dimethylethanolamine of triisopropanolamine voorstelt, p een waarde heeft van 0,5-2,0 en m = 4.
Andere specifieke verbindingen volgens de uitvinding bezitten de formule (1), waarin R een groep met de formule (4) voorstelt, R^ een 20 groep of C^Hgg voorstelt, m een waarde heeft van 1,0-2,5, R2‘een groep C2H4' C3H6' C4V C7H14' C8H16 , C2H2 of CgH4 voorstelt, Rg een geprotoneerd triethanolamine, diethanolamine, N.N-dimethylaminmethylpropanol, N.N-dimethylethanolamine of triisopropanolamine voorstelt, p een waarde heeft van 0,5-1,5 en m = 3.
25 De verbindingen van de uitvinding kunnen bereid worden door n mol van een monocarbonzuur of van een mengsel van 2 of meer monocarbon- zuren met de formule R^-CO-OH, waarin Rj een alkylrest, een gesubstitueerde alkylrest, een onverzadigde alkylrest, een gesubstitueerde onverzadigde alkylrest, een arylrest of een gesubstitueerde arylrest met 4-30 koolstof- 30 atomen voorstelt, om te zetten met een mol van een alcohol of mengsel van 2 of meer alcoholen met de formule R-[OH] , waarin m een waarde heeft van m 3-8 en betrekking heeft het aantal hydroxylgroepen van de alcohol en R een alkylrest met 3-15 koolstofatomen voorstelt, waarna men het verkregen reaktieprodukt omzet met p mol van een tweebasich of driebasisch organisch 35 zuur of een mengsel van twee of meer van dergelijke zuren met de formule H0-C0-R2-C0-0H, waarin R2 een alkylrest, een gesubstitueerde alkylrest, een alkyleenrest, een arylrest, een gesubstitueerde arylrest, een cyclo-alifatische rest of gesubstitueerde cycloalifatische rest met 1-20 koolstofatomen voorstelt, of met een overeenkomstig zuuranhydride of een 8 1 0 0 95 4 »
Si *+ - 5 - mengsel van twee of meer overeenkomstige zuuranhydriden, waarbij men een verbinding verkrijgt met de formule (10), waarin R, R^, R2, m, n en p de bovengegeven betekenissen hebben, n< m en p een waarde heeft van 0,5-8, bij voorkeur 0,5-3, welke verbinding in geneutraliseerde vorm wordt ge-5 bracht door omzetting met een amine of een alkalimetaal, waardoor een verbinding verkrijgt met de formule (1), waarin R, R,, R. m, n en p de boven- 6) 2 gegeven betekenissen hebben en een geprotoniseerd amine of alkalimetaal-kation voorstelt.
De uitvinding wordt hieronder nader toegèlicht aan de hand *0 van de onderstaande voorbeelden. Hierin hebben de voorbeelden 1-7 betrekking op de bereiding van bepaalde verbindingen volgens de uitvinding vóór de neutralisatie, terwijl de voorbeelden 8-14 betrekking hebben op verschil-, lende smeermiddelen, die een verbinding volgens de uitvinding bevatten.
Voorbeeld I
In een van een roerder, waterafscheider, thermometer en toevoer van inert gas voorziene glazen bol bracht men 1 mol (136,2 g) trimethylolpropaan (TMP), 1 mol (273,3 g) oliezuur en 65 g xyleen. Het xyleen werd gebruikt om het bij de verestering gevormde water door azeotro-pische destillatie te verwijderen.
20 De temperatuur werd geleidelijk tot 250° C verhoogd, waarna bij de verestering gevormd water werd afgescheiden. Bij een zuurgetal van minder dan 3 mg KOH/g werd de reaktie gestopt. De resterende xyleen werd onder verlaagde druk afgescheiden. Het verkregen produkt, 391,5 g TMP— oleaat met een OH-getal van 285 mg KOH/g was bij 20° C een heldere bleke 25 olie.
Bij een temperatuur van 150° C zette men 1 mol (391,5 g) > van het op de bovenstaande wijze bereide TMP-oleaat in een van een roerder en thermometer voorziene glazen bol om met 1 mol (148,2 g) ftaalzuuranhydride.
Men verkreeg zo 539 g TMP-oleaat-ftalaat met een zuurgetal van 99 mg KOH/g.

Het produkt was bij 20° C een visceuze olie.
Voorbeeld II
In een van een roerder, waterafscheider, thermometer en toevoer voor inert gas voorzien, glazen bol, bracht men 1 mol (138,4 g) * pentaerytritol (ΡΕΝΤΑ), 2,7 mol (427,1 g) pelargonzuur (een alifatisch Cg-zuur) 35 en 65 g xyleen.
De temperatuur werd geleidelijk tot 250° C verhoogd, waarna bij de verestering gevormd water werd afgescheiden. Bij een zuurgetal van minder dan 3 mg KOH/g werd de reaktie beëindigd. De resterende xyleen werd onder verlaagde druk afgescheiden. Men verkreeg 517 g PENTApelargonaat in 81 0095 4 - 6 - * * * de vorm van een heldere, bleke olie bij 20° C en met een OH-waarde van 135 mg KOH/g.
Bij een temperatuur van 150° C zette men 1 mol (517 g) PENTA-pelargonaat in een van een roerder en thermometer voorziene glazen 5 bol om met 1 mol (98 g) maleienzuuranhydride. Men verkreeg na af zuigen 609 g PENTA-pelargonaat-maleinaat met een zuurgetal van 88 mg KOH/g. Het produkt was bij 20° C een heldere, bleke olie.
'Voorbeeld lil
In een van een roerder, waterafscheider, thermometer en 10 toevoer voor inert gas voorziene glazen bol bracht men 1 mol (138,4 g) pentaerytritol (ΡΕΝΤΑ) , 3 mol (432 g) 2-ethylhexaanzuur en 65 g tolueen.
De tolueen werd gebruikt om het bij de verestering gevormde water door azeotropische destillatie te verwijderen.
De temperatuur werd geleidelijk tot 250° C verhoogd, waarna 15 bij de verestering gevormd water werd afgescheiden. Bij een zuurgetal van minder dan 3 mg KOH/g werd de reaktie beëindigd. De resterende tolueen werd afgescheiden. Men verkreeg 517 g PENTA-2-ethylhexanoaat met een OH-waarde van 108 mg KOH/g. Het produkt was een heldere, bleke olie bij 20° C.
Men zette 1 mol (517 g) PENTA-2-ethylhexanoaat met 1 mol 20 (146,1 g adipienzuur om onder een atmosfeer van stikstofgas in een van een roerder en thermometer voorziene glazen bol en bij aanweziigheid van tolueen en bij een temperatuur van 250° C. De reaktie werd 1½ uur voortgezet, waarbij het gevormde verèsteringswater werd afgescheiden. Daarna werd het tolueen onder verlaagde druk afgescheiden. Men verkreeg 641 g PENTA-25 2-ethylhexanoaat-adipinaat met een zuurgetal van 82 mg KOH/g. Het produkt was bij 40° C een weinig visceuze olie.
Voorbeeld IV
In een van een roerder, waterafscheider, thermometer en toevoer voor inert gas voorziene glazen bol bracht'men 1 mol (138,4 g) 30 pentaerytritol (ΡΕΝΤΑ), 1 mol (273,g) oliezuur en 65 g xyleen.
De temperatuur werd geleidelijk tot 250° C verhoogd, waarbij gevormd veresteringswater werd afgescheiden. Bij een zuurgetal van minder dan 1 mg KOH/g werd de reaktie beëindigd. Een resterend xyleen werd onder verlaagde druk afgescheiden. Het produkt werd onder druk gefiltreerd 35 om niet-omgezet ΡΕΝΤΑ te verwijderen. Men verkreeg 370 g PENTA-oleaat met een OH-waarde van 226 mg KOH/g. Bij 20° C was het produkt een weinig visceuze, lichtbruine olie.
Bij een temperatuur van 150° C zette men 286 g PENTA-oleaat in een van een roerder en thermometer voorziene glazen bol om met 108 g 8100954 - 7 - =*- w ftaalzuuranhydride. Na filtratie verkreeg men 355 g PENTA-oleaat-ftalaat met een zuurgetal van 98 mg KOH/g. Het produkt was bij 20° C een visceuze olie.
Voorbeeld V
5 In een van een roerder, waterafscheider, thermometer en toevoer voor inert gas voorziene glazen bol bracht men 1 mol (136,2) trimethylolpropaan (TMP), 2,2 mol (317 g) 2-ethylhexaanzuur en 20 g xyleen. De xyleen werd gebruikt om bij de verestering gevormd water door azeotro-pische destillatie te verwijderen.
10 De temperatuur werd geleidelijk tot 260° C verhoogd, waar bij gevormd veresteringswater werd afgescheiden. Bij een zuurgetal van minder dan 2 mg KDH/g werd de reaktie beëindigd. Resterend xyleen werd onder verlaagde druk afgescheiden. Men verkreeg 411 g TMP-2-ethylhexanoaat met een OH-waarde van 99 mg KOH/g. Het produkt was bij 20° C een bleke, 15 weinig visceuze olie.
In een van een roerder, thermometer en toevoer voor inert gas voorziene gleizen bol bracht men 1 mol (411 g) ΊΜΡ-2-ethylhexanoaat en 0,8 mol (117 g) adipienzuur. De temperatuur werd geleidelijk tot 250° C verhoogd en gedurende 30 minuten op die waarde gehandhaafd bij atmosferische 20 druk en daarna gedurende nog 30 minuten onder verlaagde druk (13,3 kPa).
Men verkreeg zo 514 g TMP-2-ethylhexanoaat-adipinaat met een zuurgetal van 91 mg KOH/g. Bij 40° C was het produkt een weinig visceuze olie.
Voorbeeld VI
In een van een roerder en thermometer voorziene glazen bol 25 zette men onder een atmosfeer van stikstofgas 1 mol (517 g). van het volgens Voorbeeld III bereide PENTA-2-ethylhexanoaat bij 250° C om met 1 mol (188 g) azelaienzuur. De reaktie werd gedurende 1½ bij atmosferische druk en daarna nog 30 minuten onder verlaagde druk (10,7 kPa) voortgezet. Gedurende al die tijd bedroeg de temperatuur 250° C. Men verkreeg zo 680 g PENTA-2-30 ethylhexanoaat-azelaienaat met een zuurgetal van 72 mg KOH/g. Het produkt was bij 40° C een weinig visceuze olie.
Voorbeeld VII
In een van een roerder, waterafscheider, thermomether en toevoer voor inert gas voorziene glazen bol bracht men 1 mol (250 g) di-35 trimethylolpropaan (Di-TMP), 2,8 mol (403 g) 2-ethylhexaanzuur en 30 g xyleen. De xyleen werd gebruikt voor azeotropische afscheiding van water.
De temperatuur werd langzaam tot 260° C verhoogd, waarna bij de verestering gevormd water werd afgescheiden. Bij een zuurgetal van minder dan 2 mg KOH/g werd het verhitten onderbroken, waarna de resterende 81 00 95 4 * f % ^ - 8 - xyleen onder verlaagde druk werd afgescheiden. Men verkreeg 603 g Di-TMP- 2-ethylhexanoaat met een OH-waarde van 109 mg KOH/g. Het produkt was bij 20° C een bleke, weinig visceuze olie.
In een van een roerder, thermometer en toevoer voor inert 5 gas voorziene glazen bol bracht men 1 mol (603 g) Di-TMP-2-ethylhexanoaat en 1,2 mol (175 g) adipienzuur. De temperatuur werd geleidelijk tot 250° C verhoogd en gedurende 30 minuten bij atmosferische druk en daarna 30 minuten onder verlaagde druk (13,3 kPa) op deze waarde gehouden. Men verkreeg zo 756 g D-TMP-2-ethylhexanoaat-adipinaat met een zuurgetal van 87 mg KOH/g.
10 Bij 40° C was het produkt een weinig visceuze olie.
Voorbeeld VIII
Men mengde 25 g van het volgens Voorbeeld I bereide TMP-oleaat-ftalaat met 4 g N.N-dimethylethanolamine. Het verkregen mengsel werd onder roeren in 550 g water gebracht en men verkreeg zo een 5-procents 15stabiele, melkachtige emulsie. Deze emulsie is zeer geschikt als. smeer- en koelmiddel, bijv. bij verspanende bewerkingen, zoals boren en draadtappen.
Voorbeeld IX
Men mengde 25 g van het volgens Voorbeeld II bereide PENTA-pelargonaat-maleinaat met 10 g triethanolamine en 8 g geëtoxyleerd 20nonylfenol als niet-ionogeen emulgeermiddel. Men bracht het verkregen mengsel onder roeren in 172 g water en verkreeg zo een 20-procents stabiele, doorschijnende emulsie. Deze emulsie is zeer geschikt, o.a. als vloeistof-medium bij persen van metaalplaat, bijv. bij het dieptrekken van roestvrij plaatmetaal. ' Voorbeeld X
25 Men mengde 25 g van het volgens Voorbeeld III bereide PENTA-2-ethylhexanoaat-adipinaat met 10 g triethanolamine. Het verkregen mengsel werd onder roeren in 1715 g water gebracht en men verkreeg zo een 2-procents stabiele, half doorschijnende emulsie. Deze emulsie is bijzonder geschikt, o.a. als slijpvloeistof.
30 Voorbeeld XI
Men mengde 25 g van het volgens Voorbeeld IV bereide PENTA-oleaat-ftalaat met 10 g triisopropanolamine. Het verkregen mengsel werd onder roeren in 665 g water gebracht en men verkreeg zo een 5-procents-stabiele, melkachtigde emulsie. Deze emulsie is zeer geschikt als smeer-35en koelmedium, bijv. bij verspanende bewerkingen, zoals boren en draadtappen.
Voorbeeld XII
Men mengde 25 g van het volgens Voorbeeld V bereide TMP-2-ethylhexanoaat-adipinaat met 3,6 g diethanolamine en 2,9 g monobutylether van diethyleenglycol.

Het verkregen mengsel werd onder roeren in 598 g water gebracht en men verkreeg zo een 5-procents stabiele, melkachtige emulsie. Deze emulsie is zeer geschikt als smeer- en koelmedium, bijv. bij verspanende bewerkingen, zoals boren en draadtappen.
5 Voorbeeld XIII
Men mengde 25 g van het volgens Voorbeeld VI bereide PENTA-2-ethylheanoaat-azelainaat met 12 g triethanolamine 3,7 g monobutyl-ether van diethyleenglycol. Het verkregen mengsel werd onder roeren in 773 g water gebracht en men verkreeg zo een 5-procents stabiele, door-10 schijnende emulsie. Deze emulsie is zeer geschikt als smeer- en koelmedium, bijv. bij verspanende bewerkingen, zoals boren en draadtappen.
Voorbeeld xiv
Men mengde 25 g van het volgens Voorbeeld VII bereide Di-TMP-2-ethylhexanoaat-adipinaat met 5,2 g N.N-dimethylaminomethylpropanol 15 en 3,0 g monobutylether van diethyleenglycol. Het verkregen mengsel werd onder roeren in 627 g water gebracht en men verkreeg zo een 5-procents stabiele, melkachtigde emulsie. Deze emulsie is zeer geschikt als smeer-en koelmedium, bijv. bij verspanende bewerkingen, zoals boren en draadtappen.
Uiteraard zijn binnen het raam van de uitvinding talrijke 20 wijzigingen mogelijk.

Claims (9)
1. Verbinding geschikt voor een met water te verdunnen smeer middel bij een metaalbewerking, met het kenmerk, dat deze verbinding de formule (1) heeft, waarin R een alkylrest met 3-15 koolstofatomen voorstelt,
5 Rj een eventueel gesubstitueerde en/of eventueel onverzadigde alkylrest of een eventueel gesubstitueerde arylrest met 4-30 koolstofatomen voorstelt; R2 een eventueel gesubstitueerde alkylrest, een alkyleenrest, een arylrest, een gesubstitueerde arylrest, een cycloalifatische rest of een gesubstitueerde cycloalifatische rest met 1-20 koolstofatomen voorstelt, en 10 R^ een geprotoneerd amine of alkalimetaalkation voor stelt; m een getal is met een waarde van 3-8, n ^ m en p een getal is met een waarde van 0,5-8, bij voorkeur 0,5-3.
2. Verbinding volgens conclusie 1, met het kenmerk, dat R een 15 groep voor stelt met de formule (3) of een groep met neopentylstruktuur, bijv. met de formule (2), (4), (5), (6), (7) of (8); R1 bl7v- een groep , CgH^, Ο,Η^, CgH^, CgH^, c11&23' C13H27, C15H31' C17H35' C17H33' H17H31' C19H39' C21H43' C23H47' °f C17H34°H 1S? R2 bij een groep CH^ C2H4, C3Hg, C^, C^, CgH^, C2H2, C^, C^COOH, CgH^COO NH^ , een groep met de formule (9) of een groep C^H^ voorstelt en Φ . R^ een ammoniumion of een geprotoneerd monoethanolamine, diethanolamine, triethanolamine, diisopropanolamine, triisopropanolamine, N.N-dimethyl-ethanolamine, N.N-dimethylaminomethylpropanol, aminomethylpropanol, triethyl-25 amine of morfoline voorstelt.
3. Verbinding volgens conclusie 1 of 2, met het kenmerk, dat R een groep met de formule (2) voorstelt, R^ een groep C^H^,. of C^H^ voorstelt, n een waarde heeft van 2,0-3,5, R_ een groep C_H., C_H , C H_, fj\ ~ λ 4 o o 4 o C7H14' C8H16' ^2¾ *“6^4 '*"s' R3 een geprotoneerd triethanolamine, 30 diethanolamine, N.N-dimethylaminomethylpropanol, N.N-dimethylethanolamine of triisopropanolamine voorstelt, p een waarde heeft van 0,5-2,0 en m = 4.
4. Verbinding volgens conclfosiê 1 of 2, met het kenmerk, dat R een groep met de formule (4) voorstelt, R^ een groep C^H^ of C^H^ is, n een waarde heeft van 1,0-2,5, R2 een groep C^^, C3®6' C4^8/ C7H14 ^8^16' 35 ^2¾ C6H4 voors'te^t/ R3 een geprotoneerd triethanolamine, diethanolamine, N.N-dimethylaminomethylpropanol, N.N-dimethylethanolamine of triisopropanolamine voorstelt, p een waarde heeft van 0,5-1,5 en m-= 3.
5. Werkwijze ter bereiding van een verbinding geschikt voor een met water te verdunnen smeermiddel voor de metaalbewerking, met het 8 1 0 0 95 4 - 11 - "3- S kenmerk, dat men n mol van een monocarbonzuur of een mengsel van 2 of meer monocarbonzuren met de formule R^-CO-OH, waarin R^ een eventueel gesubstitueerde en/of eventueel onverzadigde alkylrest of een eventueel gesubstitueerde arylrest met 4-30 koolstofatomen voorstelt, omzet met een mol van 5 een alcohol of mengsel van 2 of meer alcoholen met de formule R-[0HJ , m waarin m een getal is met een waarde van 3-8 en betrekking heeft op het aantal hydroxylgroepen van de alcohol en R een alkylrest met 3-15 koolstof-atomen voorstelt en vervolgens het verkregen reaktieprodukt met p mol van een tweebasisch of driebasich organisch zuur of een mengsel van 2 of meer 10 van dergelijke zuren met de formule H0-C0-R2-C0-0H, waarin R2 een eventueel gesubstitueerde alkylrest, een alkyleenrest, een arylrest, een gesubstitueerde arylrest, een cycloalifatische rest of een gesubstitueerde cyclo-alifatische rest of een gesubstitueerde cycloalifatische rest met 1-20 koolstofatomen voorstelt, of met een overeenkomstig zuuranhydride of een 15 mengsel van twee of meer overeenkomstige zuuranhydriden omzet tot een verbinding met de formule (10), waarin R, R^, R^, m, n en p de bovengegeven betekenissen hebben, n ^ m en p een waarde heeft van 0,5-8, bij voorkeur 0,5-3, welke verbinding met een amine of alkalimetaal geneutraliseerd wordt tot een verbinding met de formule (1), waarin R, R., R„, m, n en p de boven- 12 20 gegeven betekenissen hebben en R^ een geprotoneerd amine of alkalimetaal-kation voorstelt.
6. Werkwijze ter bereiding van een met water verdunbaar smeermiddel voor de metaalbewerking in de vorm van een emulsie of een oplossing, met het kenmerk, dat men een verbinding met de formule (1), waarin de ver- 25 schillende symbolen de in conclusie 1 gegeven betekenissen hebben, in water emulgeert of oplost.
7. Werkwijze volgens conclusie 6, met het kenmerk, dat men een verbinding met de formule (1) gebruikt, waarin R een groep met de formule (2) voorstelt, R^ een groep C7H15 of is, R2 een groep C^H^,
