Abstract

Un método para tratamiento térmico de componentes fundidos de aleación de aluminio que incluye obtener una pieza fundida formada a partir de una aleación de aluminio que tiene un constituyente de silicio y al menos un constituyente de aleación de metal, y calentar la pieza fundida a una primera temperatura de fundición que está por debajo, pero dentro de 10ºC de una temperatura de solución de silicio predeterminada en la cual el constituyente de silicio entra rápidamente en solución sólida. El método también incluye aumentar la tasa de entrada térmica en la pieza fundida para elevar la temperatura de la pieza fundida a una segunda temperatura de fundición que está por encima, pero dentro de 10ºC de una temperatura de solución de metal de aleación predeterminada en la cual dicho al menos un constituyente de aleación de metal entra rápidamente en solución sólida, mantener la pieza fundida en la segunda temperatura de fundición por un periodo de tiempo que es menor que aproximadamente 20 minutos, y después enfriar la pieza fundida a una temperatura menor que o de aproximadamente 250ºC.
