Abstract

La invención se refiere a un método y a un dispositivo para revestir una cinta de metal con un material de revestimiento que inicialmente todavía es líquido, por ejemplo, zinc. Durante el revestimiento la cinta de metal revestida se pasa a través de un par de rodillos, en donde uno de los rodillos del par de rodillos se puede ajustar con relación al otro como un rodillo de corrección con el fin de eliminar una posible curvatura de la cinta de metal. Luego la cinta de metal pasa a través de un dispositivo separador por soplado para eliminar por soplado el exceso de revestimiento. De acuerdo con la invención, con el fin de evitar una distribución irregular del grosor del revestimiento sobre la cinta de metal aún cuando se haya ajustado el rodillo de corrección del par de rodillos, la posición real de la cinta metálica se controla a una posición central exigida predeterminada en el intersticio del dispositivo separador por soplado mediante un movimiento apropiado del dispositivo de soplado.
