Abstract
Se divulga un sistema y método para controlar la apertura y el cierre de un panel de cierre para un vehículo. El sistema incluye un accionador eléctrico que tiene un arrancador para abrir y cerrar el panel de cierre. Un miembro de asistencia de elevación coopera con el accionador eléctrico y es operado por un controlador que controla el funcionamiento del accionador eléctrico. Un circuito monitorea el consumo de corriente del arrancador y envía señales al controlador cuando la corriente requerida para abrir el panel de cierre excede un nivel predeterminado, para evitar el funcionamiento del accionador eléctrico. La posición del miembro de cierre se puede monitorear mediante un codificador, o un sensor de ángulo, asociado con el arrancador para detectar si el miembro de cierre está cayendo y accionar un sistema que impida el movimiento repentino del miembro de cierre.
