Abstract

La invención se relaciona con un método para preparar sílice precipitada, y con sílice precipitada que incluye agregados de partículas primarias grandes de sílice, que tienen en la superficie de las mismas partículas primarias pequeñas de sílice, en donde la sílice tiene: un área superficial específica CTAB (SCTAB) de 60 a 400 m2/g; un tamaño promedio del agregado d50, medido mediante dimensionamiento con XDC después de la desaglomeración ultrasónica, tal que d50 (nm) > (6214/SCTAB (m2/g)) + 23; una distribución del volumen del poro tal que V(d5-d50)/V(d5-d100) > 0.906-(0.0013 x SCTAB (m2/g)); y una distribución del tamaño del poro tal que Moda (nm) > (4166/SCTAB (m2/g))-9.2. La invención también se relaciona con el uso de la sílice como un relleno de refuerzo para polímeros.
