Claims (10)
- 제 1 주축(x1)과 외측면(111)을 갖는 일차 광섬유 프리폼(11)을, 제 2 주축(x2)과 내측면(120)을 갖는 오버클래딩 튜브(12)속에 삽입하여 상기 외측면(111)과 내측면(120)이 내부 공간(15)을 형성하도록 하는 단계;상기 제 1 및 제 2 주축(x1, x2)들이 서로 사실상 일직선으로 정렬되게 오버클래딩 튜브(12)속에서 일차 프리폼(11)을 중심에 삽입된 위치에서 유지하는 단계;오버클래딩 튜브(12)의 하단부에서 밀봉구(125)로 밀봉된 내부 공간(15)속에 오버클래딩 입자(13)들을 공급하는 단계;오버클래딩 튜브(12)와 일차 광섬유 프리폼(11)을 제위치에 유지시키는 홀더(3)에 의해 오버클래딩 튜브(12)의 상단부에서 제한된 밀봉된 내부 공간(15)에 감소된 압력 상태를 생성시키는 단계;일차 프리폼(111)과, 오버클래딩 튜브(12) 및 오버클래딩 입자(13)들로 구성된 미처리된 이차 프리폼(1)을, 하단부에서 연질 상태로 되도록 노(23)에 의해 가열함과 동시에 하단부로부터 광섬유(5)를 인발하거나;일차 프리폼(111)과, 오버클래딩 튜브(12) 및 오버클래딩 입자(13)들로 구성되는 미처리된 이차 프리폼(1)을 그 전체 길이에 걸쳐 처리된 이차 프리폼(1)을 얻도록 노(23)에 의해 가열하고, 후속적인 처리단계에서 광섬유(5)를 인발하는 단계를 포함하여 구성된 광섬유 제조방법.
- 제 1항에 있어서, 상기 오버클래딩 튜브(12)의 내경(d2)은 일차 프리폼(11)의 외경(d1) 보다 적어도 1.5배 더 크고 그 벽 두께(d20) 보다 10 배 이상 더 큰 것을 특징으로 하는 방법.
- 제 1항 또는 2항에 있어서, 상기 오버클래딩 튜브(12)는 원추형으로 형성된 밀봉구(125)를 포함하며, 또는 작은 입자들로 구성되는 오버클래딩 입자(13)는 홀더(3)가 장착되기 전에 삽입되거나 또는 홀더를 장착한 다음 홀더에 형성된 통로(38)를 통해 삽입되는 것을 특징으로 하는 방법.
- 제 1항 내지 3항중 어느 한 항에 있어서, 오버클래딩 입자(13)는 제조되는 광섬유(5)에서 용구되는 특성에 따라 선택되는 순수한 또는 불순물 처리된 합성 실리카 입자인 것을 특징으로 하는 방법.
- 제 1항 내지 4항중 어느 한 항에 있어서, 노(23)의 온도는 2100℃ 내지 2350℃ 범위에서 선택하는 것을 특징으로 하는 방법.
- 제 1 주축(x1)과 외측면(111)을 갖는 일차 광섬유 프리폼(11)과, 제 2 주축(x2)과 내측면(120)을 갖는 오버클래딩 튜브(12) 및 오버클래딩 튜브(12)의 하단부에서 밀봉구(125)를 포함하며, 상기 외측면(111)과 내츠면(120)이 오버클래딩 입자(13)가 적어도 부분적으로 채워지는 내부 공간(15)을 형성하도록 일차 프리 폼(111)이 오버클래딩 튜브(12) 속의 중심에 삽입된 위치에서 중심이 일직선으로 되게 정렬된, 광섬유 제조용 이차 프리폼(1).
- 제 6항에 있어서, 일차 프리폼(11)과 오버클래딩 튜브(12)의 상단부들은 제 3의 주축(x3)을 갖는 홀더(3)에 의해 유지되고 밀봉되며, 상기 홀더(3)는(a) 제 3의 주축(x3)과 동일 축중심으로 정렬되며 일차 프리폼(11)의 외경(d1)에 일치하는 직경(d3)을 갖는 홀(31)과,(b) 제 3의 주축(x3)과 동일 축중심으로 정렬되며 오버클래딩 튜브(12)의 내경(d2)에 일치하는 직경(d4)을 갖는 밀봉 요소(91)와 적어도 하나의 원통형의 요소(34,35),(c) 진공 펌프 또는 가스 공급원(22)에 연결되는 배기용 통로(33)를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 이차 프리폼(1).
- 제 7항에 있어서, 상기 홀더(3)는 내부 공간(15) 속에 오버클래딩 입자(13)를 삽입하도록 된 적어도 하나의 통로(38)를 포함하며, 및/또는 상기 홀더(3)는 홀(31)이 관통하여 이어지는 상단부(36)에 배치되는 밀봉캡(39)을 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 이차 프리폼(1).
- 제 1항 내지 5항중 어느 한 항에 따른 방법에 따라 제조되거거나, 제 6항 내지 8항중 어느 한 항에 따라 한정된 이차 프리폼으로부터 인발된 광섬유(5).
- 이차 프리폼(1)을 유지하고 축방향으로 이동시키며, 회전 또는 진동을 가하는 적어도 하나의 장치(21)와, 노(23) 및 광섬유(5)를 인발하는 수단 및 인발된 광섬유(5)를 코팅하는 수단을 포함하는, 제 1항 내지 5항중 어느 한 항에 따른 방법으로 프리폼(1) 및/또는 광섬유(5) 제조하는 장치.
