Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a laminate electrophotographic receptor superior in sensitivity and durability against repeated uses, by adding a specified coumarone compound to a charge transfer layer. CONSTITUTION:A charge transfer layer contains 100pts.wt. binder and 10- 500pts.wt. coumarone compound as a charge transfer substance represented by the formula in which R1, R2 are optionally substituted alkyl or aryl, and the two may form a 5- or 6-membered ring together with N; R3 is H or optionally substituted alkyl or aryl; and R4, R5 are each H, halogen, or the following optionally substituted group; alkyl, alkoxy, aryloxy, acyl, or amino. A photoreceptor is formed by laminating this charge transfer layer and a charge generating layer. The charge generating layer may be formed with an organic charge generating substance or an amorphous silicon layer. The obtained photoreceptor has high photosensitivity and superior durability characteristics against repeated uses.
