Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain an electrophotographic receptor superior in sensitivity and durability, by providing a charge transfer layer containing a specified charge transfer compound and a charge generating layer on a conductive substrate. CONSTITUTION:An organic solvent dissolves a binder resin, such as polyester or polycarbonate, and a compound represented by the formula in which R1, R2 are H, halogen, NO2, or the following optionally substituted groups; alkyl, alkoxy, aryloxy, or amino, but at least one of them is optionally substituted amino or alkoxy; R3, R4 are optionally substituted alkyl or aryl, but at least one of them is optionaly substituted aryl, or they may form a heterocyclic, nitorgen-containing ring; and R5-R8 are same as R1 or acyl. This solution is coated on a conductive substrate to form a charge transfer layer, and on this layer a charge generating layer is formed to give a multilayer photoreceptor. The transfer layer and the generating layer may be reversely laminated. The photoreceptor thus obtained deteriorates in characteistics very little even after repeated uses over ten thousand times.
