CONSTITUTION:A charge transfer layer formed on a charge generating layer provided on a conductive substrate contains a compound represented by the formula in which R1-R4 are each optionally substiuted alkyl, aryl, or an atomic group needed to complete a 5- or 6-membered ring together with N, and R5- R8 are each H, halogen, OH, CN, or an optionally substituted group, such as alkyl, alkoxy, aryloxy, acyl, aryl, or amino, and this compound is added by 10-500pts.wt. per 100pts.wt. binder. The charge generating layer may be formed on the charge transfer layer formed. As a result, a high sensitivity photoreceptor almost free of deterioration of characteristics even after repeated uses exceeding 20,000 times.
