Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain a photosensitive body high in sensitivity and superior in characteristics of bearing repeated uses by forming a photoconductive layer containing a phthalocyanine compound as an electric charge generating material and at least one of hydrazone compounds specified in structure as a charge transfer material. CONSTITUTION:The photoconductive layer formed on a conductive base body contains a combination of the phthalocyanine compound as the charge generating material and as the charge transfer material the hydrazone compounds represented by general formula I in which each of R1-R4 is an optionally substituted alkyl, alkenyl, aryl, or aromatic heterocyclic ring group, thus permitting the obtained photosensitive body to be high in sensitivity and superior in repetition bearing characteristics, and further to be improved in durability by forming a coating layer on the surface when needed.
