Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve the shelf stability and fluidity of a toner and almost prevent the formation of a toner film on the surfaces of a photoreceptor and a carrier by uniformly dispersing an alkylmethylsiloxane copolymer contg. a specified polyalkylmethylsiloxane unit in the toner. CONSTITUTION:A 0.05-10wt% alkylmethylsiloxane copolymer contg. polyalkylsiloxane represented by the formula (where m is an integer of >=1 and n is an integer of >=2) is mixed with a binder resin, a necessary colorant, etc. to uniformly disperse the copolymer in the toner. Thus, by adding the polymethylsiloxane having a long chain alkyl group, the copolymer has improved compatibility with the binder resin and is uniformly dispersed to enhance the charging stability of the toner. In addition, the toner has improved fluidity and gives a clear fine image free from uneven development.
