Abstract

1490584 Electroscopic toners EASTMAN KODAK CO 15 May 1975 [16 May 1974] 20596/75 Heading C3P [Also in Division G2] Dry particulate electroscopic toners comprise finely divided particles comprising a resin having incorporated therein less than 2 weight per cent of a charge control agent which is an alkoxylated amine of formula where R is C 8-30 alkyl, a and b are 2 to 4 and x and y are 1 to 10. The compositions may also contain colourants and may be mixed with carrier particles to provide electrostatic image developers. For magnetic brush development preferred carriers are iron particles which may be coated with a fluorocarbon resin. Examples describe developers comprising fluorocarbon resin coated iron particles as carriers and toners comprising styrene/methyl methacrylate/ethylhexyl methacrylate/divinyl benzene copolymers, conductive carbon black and ethoxylated octadecylamines.
