Abstract

PURPOSE: To improve fluidity of a magnetic toner by adding a fluorine modified silicone oil.
CONSTITUTION: A magnetic powder, and a thermoplastic resin or a pressure deformable resin, when needed, together with additives, such as carbon black, dye, lubricant, surfactant, plasticizer, antioxidant, or ultraviolet absorber are mixed with a fluorine modified silicone oil in an amount of 0.01W5.0wt% based on a toner composition. The mixture is melted and kneaded, pulverized after cooling, and classified to obtain a magnetic toner powder. As said fluorine modified silicone oil, a silicone oil with hydrogen atoms of its alkyl or phenyl groups replaced by fluorine atoms, such as silicone oil containing trifluoroalkyl groups is recommended. Such a toner composition improves fluidity of a magnetic toner, and further it prevents staining of offset development and a photoreceptor.
