Abstract

PURPOSE: To indicate the water depth digitally in an electronic device by blocking one end of an opening part to form a tightly closed space and detecting the fluctuation of pressure of a liquid or the like within the tightly closed space generated by the displacement of the diaphragm by receiving the water pressure from the outside using a pressure detecting element.
CONSTITUTION: A detector case 11 is mounted on the opening part of a watch case 1 through an air-tightening packing 12, and a protective cover 13 provided with a water permeating through hole 14 connecting water pressure is fitted to the inner surface of the case 11. To the inner surface of the case 11 there is secured a diaphragm 15, and a tightly sealed space 16 is formed. At the lower surface of the case 11 there is secured a ceramic base plate 17 to form the tightly sealed space 16, and the base plate 17 is provided with a pressure detecting element 19 and a vacuum space 20. The external pressure fluctuation is transmitted to the diaphragm 15 via the through hole 14, and the pressure of a noncompressive fluid 16 varies by the displacement of the diaphragm 15 to displace the element 19, and an electrical signal proportional to the quantity of the displacement thereof is derived from a terminal 18, and digitally indicated.
