Description
実施形態に係る圧電磁器組成物は、ニオブ酸カリウムナトリウム系(KNN系、ニオブ酸アルカリ系)の圧電磁器組成物であり、また、鉛(Pb)を含んでいない。KNN系の圧電磁器組成物は、例えば、簡略化した組成式AxBO3で表される。Aサイトには、主として、K(カリウム)及びNa(ナトリウム)が含まれる。Bサイトには、主として、Nb(ニオブ)が含まれる。x(モル比)は、例えば、概ね1である。そして、圧電磁器組成物はペロブスカイト構造を有している。

本実施形態に係る圧電磁器組成物の製造方法は、ニオブ酸カリウムナトリウムに添加される具体的な金属元素の種類及びそのモル比を除いては、公知のニオブ酸カリウムナトリウム系の圧電磁器組成物の製造方法と同様とされてよい。例えば、以下のとおりである。
実施形態に係る圧電磁器組成物に関して、モル比並びにA1、B1及びB2が互いに異なる種々の試料を実際に作製し、組成が特性に及ぼす影響を調べた。図1~図4は、その結果を示す図表である。
図5は、透過型電子顕微鏡(TEM:Transmission Electron Microscope)を用いて得られる圧電磁器組成物101の断面の画像(以下、TEM画像)を模式化して示す図である。
図6は、図1に示した試料1~8における、Ta偏析部103と、非Ta偏析部105とについて、その組成及び特性を調べた結果を示す図表である。
図6の「Fe/Ta」において、「Ta-Rich」の「Raw Data」と、「Ta-Poor」の「Raw Data」との比較から理解されるように、Ta偏析部103においては、非Ta偏析部105に比較して、Feの含有量(全元素の物質量に占めるFeの物質量の割合)が大きい。例えば、Feが添加されない(δ=0)の試料1を除いて、Ta偏析部103におけるFeの含有量は、非Ta偏析部105におけるFeの含有量の2倍以上6倍以下となっている。
図6の「Sb/Ta」において、「Ta-Rich」の「Raw Data」と、「Ta-Poor」の「Raw Data」との比較から理解されるように、Ta偏析部103においては、非Ta偏析部105に比較して、Sbの含有量(全元素の物質量に占めるSbの物質量の割合)が小さい。例えば、非Ta偏析部105におけるSbの含有量は、Ta偏析部103におけるSbの含有量の1.1倍以上1.4倍以下となっている。
図7は、圧電磁器組成物の応用例を示す断面図である。この断面図は、インクジェット式のヘッド11の一部を示している。図7の紙面下方(-D3側)は、記録媒体(例えば紙)が配置される側である。

BサイトにTa及びFeを含んでいて、
組成式{(K 1-u-v Na u Li v ) 1-w-α Ag w A1 α } x {(Nb 1-y-z Ta y Sb z ) 1-β-γ-δ B1 β B2 γ Fe δ }O 3 で表され、
A1が、Bi、La、Ce、Nd若しくはSm又はこれらの組み合わせであり、
B1が、Zn、Mg、Yb、Cu、Co若しくはNi又はこれらの組み合わせであり、
B2が、Sn、Ti、Zr、Hf、Ce、Ge、V若しくはW又はこれらの組み合わせであり、
以下の不等式、

0.00<v≦0.06、
0.00<w≦0.06、
0.99≦x≦1.02、
0.00<y≦0.12、

請求項1に記載の圧電磁器組成物。 - 組成式A x BO 3 で表され、Aサイトの物質量の8割以上を占めるK及びNaと、Bサイトの物質量の7割以上を占めるNbとを含んでいるニオブ酸カリウムナトリウム系の圧電磁器組成物であって、
BサイトにTa及びFeを含んでいて、
Taが偏在しているTa偏析部を有しており、前記Ta偏析部は、Taの物質量をNbの物質量で割った比が0.5以上となる部分であり、
前記Ta偏析部における全元素の物質量に占めるFeの物質量の割合が、前記Ta偏析部とは異なる部分の少なくとも一部である基準部における全元素の物質量に占めるFeの物質量の割合よりも大きい
圧電磁器組成物。 - 前記圧電磁器組成物は、組成式{(K 1-u-v Na u Li v ) 1-w-α Ag w A1 α } x {(Nb 1-y-z Ta y Sb z ) 1-β-γ-δ B1 β B2 γ Fe δ }O 3 で表され、
A1が、Bi、La、Ce、Nd若しくはSm又はこれらの組み合わせであり、
B1が、Zn、Mg、Yb、Cu、Co若しくはNi又はこれらの組み合わせであり、
B2が、Sn、Ti、Zr、Hf、Ce、Ge、V若しくはW又はこれらの組み合わせであり、
前記基準部は、Taの物質量をNbの物質量で割った比がy/(1-y-z)以下となる部分である
請求項3に記載の圧電磁器組成物。 - 前記Ta偏析部におけるFeの物質量をTaの物質量で割った比が、前記基準部におけるFe物質量をTaの物質量で割った比よりも小さい
請求項3又は4に記載の圧電磁器組成物。 - 前記Ta偏析部におけるFeの物質量をTaの物質量で割った比が0.01以上0.12以下である
請求項3~5のいずれか1項に記載の圧電磁器組成物。 - 前記Ta偏析部におけるFeの物質量をTaの物質量で割った比が0.01以上0.09以下である
請求項6に記載の圧電磁器組成物。 - BサイトにSbを含み、
前記Ta偏析部におけるSbの物質量をTaの物質量で割った比が、前記基準部におけるSbの物質量をTaの物質量で割った比よりも小さい
請求項3~7のいずれか1項に記載の圧電磁器組成物。 - BサイトにSbを含み、
前記Ta偏析部におけるSbの物質量をTaの物質量で割った比が0.08以上0.12以下である
請求項3~7のいずれか1項に記載の圧電磁器組成物。 - 前記Ta偏析部におけるSbの物質量をTaの物質量で割った比が0.09以上0.12以下である
請求項9に圧電磁器組成物。 - 前記Ta偏析部が1%以上の面積を占める横断面を有している
請求項3~10のいずれか1項に記載の圧電磁器組成物。 - 粒径が0.1μm以上の前記Ta偏析部を含んでいる
請求項3~11のいずれか1項に記載の圧電磁器組成物。
