Description
Claims (3)
- エチレングリコールベースの熱伝達流体を用いる、循環液体エンジン冷却システムを有する内燃機関を冷却するための方法であって、
a)(1)エチレングリコール、
(2)さらなる多価アルコール成分であって、前記さらなる多価アルコール成分の全質量が前記熱伝達流体の全質量の2%以上14%以下である、さらなる多価アルコール成分、
(3)次の添加剤:緩衝剤、腐食防止剤、消泡剤、染料、苦味剤、スケール防止剤、界面活性剤、またはキレート剤の少なくとも1つを含む添加剤成分であって、前記熱伝達流体の全質量の2%と7%の間である、添加剤成分、および
(4)前記熱伝達流体の全質量の5%と10%の間を占める、水
を含む熱伝達流体を配合するステップ;および
b)前記熱伝達流体が、前記内燃機関によって生成される熱を吸収し、吸収された前記熱をより低い温度環境に放出するように、前記内燃機関の冷却システムを、前記熱伝達流体で実質的に満たすステップ;
を含み、
前記熱伝達流体は、136℃を超える大気圧沸点、−40℃で1100mPa・s未満の粘性係数、および−40℃未満の安定な低温作動限界を有することを特徴とする方法。 - 請求項1に記載の方法であって、
前記さらなる多価アルコール成分が、ジエチレングリコール、トリエチレングリコール、テトラエチレングリコール、1,2−プロパンジオール、1,3−プロパンジオール、ジプロピレングリコール、トリプロピレングリコール、ブチレングリコール、グリセロール、およびこれらのうちの組み合わせからなる群から選択されることを特徴とする方法。 - 請求項1に記載の方法であって、
前記熱伝達流体が、146℃を超える大気圧沸点、−40℃で1100mPa・s未満の粘性係数、および−45℃未満の安定な低温作動限界を有し、前記さらなる多価アルコール成分が、前記熱伝達流体の全質量の2%と6%の間の質量を有する1,3−プロパンジオールからなり、前記水が、前記熱伝達流体の全質量の5%と6%の間を占めることを特徴とする方法。
