Claims (3)
- 排気の一部をEGRガスとして吸気に還流させるEGR装置を備えるエンジンであって、
吸気に還流させるEGRガス流量を制御する際の指標値であるEGRガス重量Megrを算出するにおいて、
検出した排気圧P2と検出した吸気圧P1とから、排気圧に対する吸気圧の実吸排気圧力比π1を算出すると共に、
エンジン回転数Nと燃料噴射量Fとから排気圧に対する吸気圧の推定吸排気圧力比π2を算出し、
前記EGRガス重量Megrは、実吸排気圧力比π1または推定吸排気圧力比π2からなる吸排気圧力比πから算出したAred係数と有効通路断面積Aredとから算出し、
前記Ared係数は、吸排気圧力比πが1に近づくにつれて減少し、この減少の度合いである傾きは、吸排気圧力比πが小さい場合に比べて、吸排気圧力比πが大きい場合の方が大となることから、前記実吸排気圧力比π1が所定値未満の場合、実吸排気圧力比π1に基づいてAred係数を算出し、次にEGRガス重量Megrを算出し、
前記実吸排気圧力比π1が所定値以上の場合、推定吸排気圧力比π2に基づいてAred係数を算出し、次にEGRガス重量Megrを算出する
ことを特徴とするエンジン。 - EGRガスの流量を制限するEGR弁のEGR弁開度Gと、前記排気圧P2と前記吸気圧P1とのEGR差圧ΔPとから、EGR装置の前記有効通路断面積Aredを算出する有効通路断面積マップMxを複数備え、
前記エンジン回転数Nと前記燃料噴射量Fとに基づいて選択された有効通路断面積マップMxから有効通路断面積Aredを算出して、前記EGRガス重量Megrを算出する
ことを特徴とする請求項1に記載のエンジン。 - EGRガス重量Megrを制限するEGR弁のEGR弁開度Gと、排気圧と吸気圧とのEGR差圧ΔPとから、EGR装置の有効通路断面積Aredを算出する有効通路断面積マップMxを複数備え、
前記実吸排気圧力比π1が所定値未満の場合、実吸排気圧力比π1と排気圧P2とに基づいて選択された有効通路断面積マップMxから有効通路断面積Aredを算出して、前記EGRガス重量Megrを算出し、
前記実吸排気圧力比π1が所定値以上の場合、推定吸排気圧力比π2と排気圧P2とに基づいて選択された有効通路断面積マップMxから有効通路断面積Aredを算出して、前記EGRガス重量Megrを算出する
ことを特徴とする請求項1に記載のエンジン。
