Description
色彩的に選択可能な散乱粒子(CSSP)を、パッケージング用のコーティングに組み込むことが可能である。コーティングは、パッケージに関する情報を明らかにすることに用いることが可能である。例えば、パッケージの真正性または出荷環境に関する情報は、コーティングにコード化させて明らかにすることが可能である。いくつかの実施形態によれば、そのような方法が製品の偽造の削減もしくは同定、半合法的市場または闇市場に出回っている商品対する商品の認証、その他に使用することが可能である。例えば、多数の指標因子と異なる色および異なるが所定の度合いの色ずれとの組み合わせ、ならびに、多数の指標因子と多数の指標因子と所定のスイッチング温度との組み合わせの再現は、非常に困難である。なぜなら、プロセスに関する深い理解と、ホログラム画像、透かし、または他の複雑な模様のように生産するための高い精度とが必要とされるからである。また、加えて、消費財パッケージングは、偽造者には容易にわからない隠されたロゴまたはメッセージを有するものであってよいが、それが存在しない場合、パッケージングに含まれる商品が本物ではないことが示されると思われる。
l/Tg=Σ(Wi/Tgi)
式中、wiはモノマーの重量分率であり、Tgiはこのモノマーのホモポリマーのガラス転移温度である。ホモ重合体のTg値は、ブランドラップ(Brandrup)およびインマーガット(Immergut)編著、「ポリマー・ハンドブック(Polymer Handbook)第3版」(John Wiley and Sons, New York, 1989)の 第 VI, pp. 212-258に見出すことができる。したがって、当業者は、特定のTgでポリマーを調製するために、上記の等式を使用することができる。さらに、一般に可塑剤として知られている材料を用いることにより、Tgが下方調整される可能性がある。また、金属による特定の重合体粒子の架橋によって、重合体粒子のTgを増加させることができる。

測定と器材:
容器内で、単量体混合物を、MAA(23.9g)、HEA(26.4g)、EHA(83.8g)、ST(703.5g)、75重量%ジオクチルスルホ琥珀酸ナトリウム水溶液(Aerosol OT-75)(10.9g)、およびDI水(249.9g)を混合することで、調製した。
実施例2〜5:Tgを変えた種ラテックスより作られた赤色および青色のモノ分散スチレン−アクリル・エマルジョン・ラテックス。CSSPを、製品識別アプリケーションのためのシードされたプロセスを用いて、作製した。調整方法を表1に示す。
Claims (10)
- 熱による環境刺激に対する被印刷物質の曝露を明らかにする方法であって、
前記被印刷物を前記環境刺激にさらすことを含み;
ここで:
前記被印刷物は、少なくとも1つの指標因子を含み、該少なくとも1つの指標因子の各々が、(重量平均径)/(個数平均径)が1.1以下と測定される粒径分布を有する複数の複数の色彩的に選択可能な散乱粒子と、着色剤とを含み;
前記散乱粒子は、スチレン、α−メチルスチレン、ブタジエン、酢酸ビニル、(メタ)アクリル酸、アクリル酸‐2‐ヒドロキシエチル、メタクリル酸メチル、アクリル酸ブチル、および2−エチルヘキシルアクリラートから重合される粒子であり、
前記着色剤は、カーボンブラック、フタロシアニンブルー、ペリレン黒、アゾ染料(金属アゾ染料、炭素環アゾ染料、およびヘテロ環アゾ色素等)、ポリメチン色素、キノフタロン類、硫化染料、ニトロおよびニトロソ染料、シアニン類、ジアゾカルボシアニン、アントラキノンから選択され、
さらに、前記少なくとも1つの指標因子は、前記環境刺激に反応して色の変化を示す、方法。 - 前記重合体粒子のガラス転移温度が20℃ないし180℃である、請求項1記載の方法。
- 前記少なくとも1つの指標因子が前記環境刺激に関する情報を提供するように構成される、請求項1記載の方法。
- 前記少なくとも1つの指標因子が、第1の指標因子および第2の指標因子からなり;および
該第1の指標因子に含まれる色彩的に選択可能な散乱粒子のガラス転移温度が、該第2の指標因子に含まれる前記色彩的に選択可能な散乱粒子のガラス転移温度と異なる、請求項1記載の方法。 - 前記色の変化の観察にもとづいて、前記被印刷物を含む製品の熱履歴を同定することをさらに含む、請求項4記載の方法。
- 前記色の変化の観察にもとづいて、前記被印刷物を含む偽造製品を同定することをさらに含む、請求項4記載の方法。
- 前記色彩的に選択可能な散乱粒子が乳化重合体を含む、請求項1記載の方法。
- 前記色彩的に選択可能な散乱粒子の前記重量平均径が125nmないし700nmである、請求項1記載の方法。
- 前記色彩的に選択可能な散乱粒子が固形状の球粒子と中空状の球粒子との混合物である、請求項1記載の方法。
- 前記色彩的に選択可能な散乱粒子と周囲媒体との屈折率の比率が少なくとも1.2である、請求項1記載の方法。
