・前記原料は良好な熱伝導率、良好な電気伝導率及び十分に高い融点を有するべきであり;
・前記原料は良好に加工されることができ、かつ安価であるべきである。

前記Siの酸化安定性及びその高める効果を得るために、Si 0.8%の最低含有率が必要である。より多いSi含有率の場合にその加工性は悪化する。その上限は故にSi 2.0質量%にある。

- ニッケル基合金であって、以下のもの(単位:質量%):

Al 0.001〜0.1%
Fe 0.01〜0.2%
C 0.001〜0.10%
N 0.0005〜0.10%
Mg 0.0001〜0.08%
O 0.0001〜0.010%
Mn 最大0.10%
Cr 最大0.10%
Cu 最大0.50%
S 最大0.008%
残部がNi及び通常の製造に起因する不純物
からなる、ニッケル基合金。 - 0.8〜1.5%のSi含有率(単位:質量%)を有する、請求項1記載の合金。
- 0.8〜1.2%のSi含有率(単位:質量%)を有する、請求項1又は2記載の合金。
- 0.001〜0.05%のAl含有率(単位:質量%)を有する、請求項1から3までのいずれか1項記載の合金。
- 0.01〜0.10%のFe含有率(単位:質量%)を有する、請求項1から4までのいずれか1項記載の合金。
- 0.01〜0.05%のFe含有率(単位:質量%)を有する、請求項1から5までのいずれか1項記載の合金。
- 0.001〜0.05%のC含有率(単位:質量%)及び0.001〜0.05%のN含有率(単位:質量%)を有する、請求項1から6までのいずれか1項記載の合金。
- 0.005〜0.08%のMg含有率(単位:質量%)を有する、請求項1から7までのいずれか1項記載の合金。
- 0.0002〜0.06%のCa含有率(単位:質量%)を有する、請求項1から8までのいずれか1項記載の合金。
- 0.0001〜0.008%のO含有率(単位:質量%)を有する、請求項1から9までのいずれか1項記載の合金。
- 最大0.05%のMn含有率(単位:質量%)及び最大0.05%のCr含有率(単位:質量%)を有する、請求項1から10までのいずれか1項記載の合金。

- 0.03〜0.25%のHf含有率(単位:質量%)を有する、請求項1から13までのいずれか1項記載の合金。
- 0.03〜0.15%のHf含有率(単位:質量%)を有する、請求項1から14までのいずれか1項記載の合金。

- 0.03〜0.15%のCe含有率(単位:質量%)を有する、請求項1から16までのいずれか1項記載の合金。
- 0.03〜0.15%のLa含有率(単位:質量%)を有する、請求項1から17までのいずれか1項記載の合金。
- 最大0.15%のTi含有率(単位:質量%)を有する、請求項1から18までのいずれか1項記載の合金。
- 最大0.20%のCu含有率(単位:質量%)を有する、請求項1から19までのいずれか1項記載の合金。
- 最大0.50%のCo含有率(単位:質量%)を有し、最大0.10%のW含有率(単位:質量%)を有し、最大0.10%のMo含有率(単位:質量%)を有し、かつ最大0.10%のV含有率(単位:質量%)、最大0.020%のP含有率、最大0.005%のB含有率、最大0.005%のPb含有率及び最大0.005%のZn含有率を有する、請求項1から20までのいずれか1項記載の合金。
- 燃焼機関の点火装置用の電極原料として使用する、請求項1から21までのいずれか1項記載のニッケル基合金。
- ガソリン機関のスパークプラグ用の電極原料として使用する、請求項22記載のニッケル基合金。
