Description
The present invention relates to a transparent conductive film having high transparency and conductivity useful as a transparent electromagnetic wave shielding film for various display devices, a transparent electrode for various electronic devices, a transparent sheet heating element, and the like, and a method for producing the transparent conductive film About.
2. Description of the Related Art In recent years, with the increase in use of various electric facilities and electronic application facilities, electromagnetic interference (Electro-Magnetic Interference: EMI) has increased rapidly. In addition to causing malfunctions and failures of electronic and electrical equipment, EMI has been pointed out to cause health problems for operators of these devices. For this reason, electronic / electrical devices are required to keep the intensity of electromagnetic wave emission within the standards or regulations.
In order to prevent the EMI, it is necessary to shield the electromagnetic wave. For this purpose, the property of not allowing the metal electromagnetic wave to penetrate may be used. For example, a method of making the casing a metal body or a high conductor, a method of inserting a metal plate between the circuit board and the circuit board, a method of covering the cable with a metal foil, and the like are employed. However, in displays such as CRT (Cathode Ray Tube) and PDP (Plasma Display Panel), it is necessary for the operator to recognize characters displayed on the screen. .
In particular, since PDP generates a large amount of electromagnetic waves as compared with CRT, stronger electromagnetic shielding ability is required. The electromagnetic wave shielding ability can be simply expressed by surface resistivity. In the case of a transparent electromagnetic wave shielding material for CRT, the surface resistivity is required to be about 300 ohm / sq or less, whereas PDP The light-transmitting electromagnetic wave shielding material for use is required to be 2.5 ohm / sq or less, and the plasma plasma for consumer use using the PDP is 1.5 ohm / sq or less (preferably 0.1 ohm / sq or less). Conductivity is required.
Further, the required level for transparency is about 70% or more for CRT and 80% or more for PDP, and higher transparency is also desired.
From the above requirements, as shown below, various members that have both electromagnetic shielding properties and transparency using a metal mesh having openings have been proposed.
As an electromagnetic shielding material manufacturing method, for example, a manufacturing method using conductive fibers, a method of forming an electromagnetic shielding material by forming a mesh by a photolithographic method, an electromagnetic shielding material by forming a mesh by a printing method There are ways to do this.
Among them, a method for producing an electromagnetic shielding material by forming a mesh by a printing method is described in, for example,
When the metal layer is formed by the electroless plating process, the metal layer is formed on the catalyst metal adhering to the surface of the electroless plating catalyst layer. That is, only the catalyst metal present on the surface of the electroless plating catalyst layer contributes to the formation of the metal layer.
However, in the method described in
Conventionally, after a layer containing a metal compound (metal compound layer) is formed on the entire surface of the substrate, a part of the metal compound layer is selectively exposed with a resist mask, and the exposed portion is subjected to a reduction treatment to form a metal. In addition, a method has been proposed in which a catalytic metal (palladium) is attached to the portion where the metal is generated by performing displacement plating treatment, and then electroless plating treatment is performed (see, for example, Patent Document 2). .
In the method of Patent Document 2, since the catalyst metal can be attached only to the surface (upper surface) of the portion exposed from the resist mask, there is an effect that it is advantageous in reducing the manufacturing cost.
However, since the metal compound layer is formed on the entire surface of the substrate, the metal compound layer remains in a portion other than the electroless plating layer and becomes opaque, so that it cannot be applied to a translucent electromagnetic shielding film that requires transparency. There's a problem. In addition, since the electroless plating layer is formed only on the surface (upper surface) of the portion exposed from the resist mask, there is a limit to the improvement in conductivity, especially when the line width of the pattern is reduced. There is a risk that the conductivity cannot be secured.
In addition, the method described in Patent Document 2 uses a resist mask to selectively reduce the metal compound layer, and thus requires formation of a resist film, exposure processing, and development processing, and the number of steps is increased. There is also a problem that it takes a lot of time. Moreover, there is also a problem that continuous processing cannot be performed on a long substrate.
The present invention has been made in consideration of such problems, and is a transparent conductive film that can be produced in a simple process and at low cost, and that can obtain low surface resistance and high transparency. The purpose is to provide.
Another object of the present invention is to perform an electroless plating process in a short time, to reduce defects due to poor adhesion of the electroless plating layer, and to provide a long transparent conductive film. Another object of the present invention is to provide a method for producing a transparent conductive film capable of producing a transparent conductive film in a simple and continuous process at low cost.

As described above, according to the transparent conductive film of the present invention, it can be produced in a simple process and at low cost, and low surface resistance and high transparency can be obtained.
Moreover, according to the method for producing a transparent conductive film of the present invention, electroless plating can be performed in a short time, defects due to poor adhesion of the electroless plating layer can be reduced, and long Even if it is a transparent conductive film, a transparent conductive film can be produced at low cost continuously in a simple process.
Embodiments of a transparent conductive film and a method for producing the transparent conductive film according to the present invention will be described below with reference to FIGS.
First, the transparent conductive film (hereinafter referred to as the first transparent
The
Next, the transparent conductive film according to the second embodiment (hereinafter referred to as the second transparent
The
As described above, in the first transparent
As described above, when the printing paste is pattern-printed on the
Examples of the opening pattern include a lattice-like (network-like) structure. By setting the average opening diameter / average line width to 7 or more, an opening ratio (light transmittance) of 60% or more can be secured. When the opening pitch is large, a lattice-like (mesh-like) structure is conspicuous, and the visibility is deteriorated. Therefore, the finer the opening pitch, the more preferably 1 mm or less. 100-500 micrometers is more preferable and 200-350 micrometers is the most preferable.
The thicknesses of the first transparent

Next, a manufacturing method of the first transparent

As described above, the
As the hydrophobic resin in the emulsion state, various resins can be used as long as they have resistance to the plating solution, chemical resistance, and good adhesion to the

The average primary particle size of the inorganic fine particles is preferably 0.1 μm or less, and more preferably 0.005 μm to 0.03 μm. The secondary particle size is also the same and is preferably 0.1 μm or less. If the average particle diameter exceeds 0.1 μm, the haze of the

印刷用ペーストの粘度は10〜1000Pa・sec(10000〜1000000cP)、好ましくは50〜500Pa・sec(50000〜500000cP)とする。

[Electroless plating treatment]
The metal that can be used is a metal containing one or more of Au, Ag, Cu, Cr, Ni, Sn, Zn, and Co. Of course, a normal electroless plating bath can be used. For example, when plating Cu or Ni, an EDTA (ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid) plating bath, a tartaric acid plating bath, a triethanolamine plating bath, or a mixed bath thereof can be used. preferable. In the case of a triethanolamine plating bath, the ratio of the concentration of triethanolamine and metal ions (for example, cupric ions) is preferably 1.1: 1 to 10: 1, particularly preferably 1.5: 1 to 4: 1. . As a reducing agent, sodium hypophosphite and sodium borohydride can be used in addition to formalin. From the viewpoint of the conductivity of the metal described above, Ag, Cu, Au, Ni and the like are preferable, and Cu is particularly preferable.

Next, a method for manufacturing the second transparent conductive film (hereinafter referred to as a second manufacturing method) will be described with reference to FIG.
As shown in FIG. 4, the second manufacturing method includes a printing process (step S101) in which a printing paste containing a metal compound is printed on the ink receiving layer of the transparent substrate to form a pattern of the second printing layer. Then, a reduction treatment step (Step S102) is performed in which a reduction treatment is performed on the second printing layer to generate a metal from the upper surface to the side surface of the second printing layer, and displacement plating is performed on the second printing layer after the reduction treatment. Displacement plating step (step S103) in which a catalytic metal is deposited from the top surface to the side surface of the second printed layer by performing a treatment, and an electroless plating process is performed on the catalytic metal deposited on the second printed layer. An electroless plating step (step S104) for forming a plating layer.
Since the transparent substrate, printing paste, displacement plating treatment, and electroless plating treatment in the second manufacturing method are the same as those in the first manufacturing method described above, the description thereof is omitted here, and the reduction treatment is mainly described. .

Although there is no restriction | limiting in particular as a printing method, It is preferable to use screen printing and gravure printing from the point that the uniformity of a printing line is obtained stably, and gravure printing is especially preferable.
[Reduction treatment]
This is performed by immersing the
It is preferable to add at least one reducing agent selected from the group consisting of an amine borane reducing agent, a hydrazine reducing agent, formaldehyde, and stannous chloride to the aqueous solution.
By using these reducing agents, the reduction activity from the metal compound to the metal can be carried out slowly, thereby making it possible to uniformly produce the metal, and substitution plating and electroless plating in the subsequent process. Thus, an efficient catalytic reaction can be realized. Moreover, since the generation of by-products (hydrogen gas) is small or does not occur, handling is safe and easy. Of course, NaBH 4 (boron hydride) may be used as the reducing agent.
In particular, in the second production method, among the reducing agents described above, an amine borane-based reducing agent is preferable. In this case, the amine borane-based reducing agent is at least one selected from monomethylamine borane, dimethylamine borane, diethylamine borane, trimethylamine borane, and monoethanolamine borane. Of these, the preferred amine borane reducing agent is monomethylamine borane or dimethylamine borane, and the most preferred amine borane reducing agent is dimethylamine borane.
Thus, in the first manufacturing method, the

(Invention 1-6, Comparative Example 1)
Electroless plating was performed at a temperature of 20 ° C. for 30 minutes using the following plating solution to form an electroless plating layer having a thickness of 4 μm on the printed layer.

(Comparative Example 2)
In Comparative Example 2, an electroless plating layer having a thickness of 4 μm was formed using the method described in Patent Document 2 described above. Specifically, an adhesive containing zinc nitrate particles is applied over the entire surface of the transparent substrate, and then a resist mask is formed on the adhesive (exposure and development of a photoresist film). The exposed portion (exposed portion) was reduced with boron hydride to produce metal in the exposed portion. Thereafter, substitution plating treatment was performed to attach palladium to the exposed portion, and then electroless copper plating treatment was performed to form an electroless plating layer having a thickness of 4 μm on the portion to which palladium was adhered.
And about this invention 1-6 and the comparative examples 1 and 2, the number of the defects by the electroless-plating process time (electroless-plating process time) and the adhesion failure of the electroless-plating layer was measured. Defects were those having the longest part exceeding 500 μm, and the total number of defects of the sample having a width of 30 cm × a length of 30 m was counted. The results are shown in Table 1.
From these results, it was found that in the
A sample was prepared in the same manner as in Example 1 except that EDTA in the electroless plating solution was replaced with an equimolar amount of triethanolamine (Invention 7).
In the present invention 7, the electroless plating time is shortened to 5 minutes. Further, the number of defects having a size of 500 μm or more was 0 as in the present invention 4, but the longest portion was 10 in the present invention 4, whereas the number of defects having a size of 300 to 500 μm was ten. In the present invention 7, the number is reduced to two.
In addition, the manufacturing method of the transparent conductive film and transparent conductive film which concern on this invention is not restricted to the above-mentioned embodiment, Of course, various structures can be taken, without deviating from the summary of this invention.
