Description
The present invention relates to an electric motor drive device and an electric motor drive method for driving an electric motor of a refrigeration air conditioner, and to a refrigeration air conditioner that includes the electric motor drive device or executes the electric motor drive method, and in particular, a stator winding of the electric motor. The present invention relates to an inverter-related control / protection device that controls by switching between a star connection and a delta connection.
As low-cost and high-performance variable voltage / variable frequency inverters are put into practical use, various application fields for variable speed motor driving have been developed. Among them, when the static friction force of the driven machine is relatively large and a large starting torque is required, a large capacity inverter is necessary. Since it is disadvantageous in cost to use a large-capacity inverter only to obtain a large torque for starting, various methods for switching the stator winding specifications of the motor without increasing the capacity of the inverter have been proposed. . For example, in
FIG. 18 shows a conventional motor drive device that switches the winding connection of an electric motor at the time of starting and at the time of completion of starting by a switching switch. A conventional driving apparatus includes a
In addition to the output shaft, a
On the other hand, when it is determined that the
Conventionally, the control device / method for switching the winding connection of the motor to the star connection at the start by the switching switch and to the delta connection when the start is completed is configured as described above, so the voltage applied to the winding or the load torque In the comparison under the condition in which the three-phase balance is maintained, the current output from the inverter (hereinafter referred to as the inverter output current) flows by √3 times in the delta connection as compared with the star connection. In recent years, it has become necessary for inverters and electric motors not only to increase the starting torque but also to realize high speed and overload operation while achieving low cost and high efficiency driving. In this way, when the high-speed / overload operation range is expanded as compared with the conventional case, it is necessary to review the protection method against the demagnetization of the permanent magnet included in the rotor of the electric motor (synchronous machine). There are few.
In addition, in order to protect the demagnetization of the motor in the above control device, in consideration of the installation method, the installation space, the system cost, the controllability at the time of switching, etc., the current flowing in the motor winding is measured using a current sensor used for driving the motor. (Hereinafter referred to as “winding current”), it is common to monitor the inverter output current and detect overcurrent to protect the motor demagnetization (overcurrent detection also means the protection of the power element) Although included, the upper limit of the current that can be passed to the power element to protect the power element is assumed to be sufficiently larger than the upper limit of the current that can be passed to the motor to protect the demagnetization of the motor. ). Control devices and methods that monitor inverter output current to detect overcurrent and protect the motor from demagnetization do not assume high-speed / overload operation during delta connection. When setting the overcurrent protection level (maximum allowable current) assuming the magnetic level, there was a problem that current shortage occurred in the delta connection, and it was not possible to operate to the area where driving at high speed and overload was desired. In addition, assuming high-speed / overload operation and setting the overcurrent protection level (maximum allowable current) assuming the motor allowable demagnetization level during delta connection, the starting torque is too large during star connection, When the low-speed load torque is too large, the overcurrent protection level is exceeded, so that sufficient protection cannot be performed, and demagnetization of the motor is unavoidable.
The present invention has been made to solve the above-described problems. In an electric motor drive that performs star-delta connection switching, high-efficiency drive and high-speed / overload operation of an inverter / motor can be performed, and The main object is to obtain an electric motor drive apparatus and method capable of performing demagnetization protection with high reliability.

Based on a predetermined frequency that matches the star connection and the delta connection, the star connection is selected when the operating frequency of the motor is less than the predetermined frequency, and the delta connection is selected when the operation frequency is equal to or higher than the predetermined frequency. It is set to select .

That is, in the delta connection, the inverter output current is π / 6 different from the winding current, and the magnitude is √3 times.

That is, the magnitude of the winding current at the time of delta connection is the same although the phase is different by π / 6 compared to that at the time of star connection.
Further, Equation 1 (h) is established for the inverter output current.
That is, under the above preconditions, the inverter output current in the delta connection has the same current phase as that of the star connection, but the magnitude is √3 times.
In order to prevent the demagnetization of the electric motor, the overcurrent detection may be performed by monitoring the winding current.
In this case, demagnetization protection can be performed by setting the overcurrent detection level to one level. On the other hand, in a conventional general inverter, an inverter output current has been used as current information for driving an electric motor. In order to observe the winding current, it is necessary to newly install a current sensor for protection when the installation space is difficult, or when it is necessary to construct a system with the minimum number of current sensors including the motor drive. On the other hand, there are cases in which it is not satisfactory, and a method of performing demagnetization protection corresponding to connection switching using an inverter output current is newly required. In this case, since the values of the winding current and the inverter output current are different at the time of delta connection as described above, a demagnetization protection method that can cope with connection switching must be considered.
FIG. 12 shows the inverter output current and the rotor of the electric motor (synchronous machine) on the assumption that the voltage or load torque applied to the windings is the same in star connection and delta connection and the three-phase balance is maintained. The relationship figure of the demagnetization factor of the permanent magnet contained is shown. However, the vertical axis (demagnetization factor) in FIG. 12 is positive in the downward direction. When comparing the inverter output current when the demagnetization factor is b (b> 0), it is A1 [A] (A1> 0) in the star connection, whereas A2 [A] (A2> A1) in the delta connection. Observed at Therefore, assuming high-speed operation or overload operation, and setting the overcurrent protection level (maximum allowable current) assuming the motor allowable demagnetization level during delta connection based on the inverter output current, In applications where the starting torque or low-speed load torque is extremely large, or in applications where a large instantaneous torque is required, demagnetization is inevitable with respect to the current jump. Also, if the overcurrent protection level (maximum allowable current) is set based on the inverter output current and assuming the motor allowable demagnetization level during star connection, current shortage will occur during delta connection, resulting in high-speed operation and overload. Cannot drive to the area you want to drive during operation.
On the other hand, the apparatus shown in FIG. 1 switches connection specifications, sets motor constants and protection levels according to each connection specification, performs PWM control according to each connection specification, and drives the motor. Therefore, in any connection, demagnetization protection can be performed with high reliability and high speed / overload operation can be supported.
(1) Motor drive method using PWM, (2) Connection switching method, (3) Motor constant / overcurrent protection level / abnormal voltage protection level setting method corresponding to connection switching, (4) Overall These control sequences will be described in order.
First, an electric motor driving method using PWM will be described. In the apparatus of FIG. 1, regardless of the star / delta connection, the
In this flow, first, inverter output currents Iu to Iw of each phase are obtained by the inverter output current reproduction means 31a from Idc. Since the information of the inverter output currents Iu to Iw appearing in the DC bus current Idc is determined by the switching element logic state of the inverter
Iu to Iw are converted into excitation current (γ-axis current Iγ) and torque current component (δ-axis current Iδ) by
However, θ in [C2] is the inverter rotation angle, and shows the case where the rotation direction is clockwise.
In the following text, when using a rotor position detection sensor such as a pulse encoder, the electrical angular frequency of the rotor and the rotational frequency of the inverter are substantially the same, so the inverter has the same frequency as the electrical angular frequency of the rotor. Is defined as a rotating coordinate system (dq coordinate system). In addition, when a sensor for detecting the rotor position such as a pulse encoder is not used, the
Next, the voltage command vector computing means 31c performs various vector controls including speed control from the excitation current Iγ, torque current Iδ, frequency command f *, bus voltage Vdc, and external switching signal E related to the connection, and the next voltage command vector. Find V *.
Next, the PWM original signal creation means 31d calculates the ON time or OFF time of each arm based on V *. In this way, the switching time in one carrier cycle is converted and output as PWM original signals Tup to Twn. In response to this, the
Next, the connection switching method will be described. The connection switching is performed based on the frequency command f * or the external switching command E. When using star connection, connect the neutral point side. That is, the switching signal A for the connection switching relays 21a to 21c output from the
When the three-phase balance is almost maintained and each winding voltage is the same regardless of the connection or when operating under the same load condition, the inverter output current of the star connection is lower than the inverter output current of the delta connection, so the inverter switching loss Reduction and inverter efficiency become high efficiency. Further, in terms of the motor efficiency, the star connection increases the duty of inverter switching, so that the harmonic iron loss is reduced. FIG. 17 shows the total efficiency combining the inverter efficiency and the motor efficiency. From FIG. 17, not only the purpose of obtaining a large torque at the start-up, but also driving that emphasizes high efficiency can be realized by switching the star-delta connection specification under predetermined operating conditions. In a device in which high efficiency is prioritized, the
For example, the above is performed using a relay ON / OFF circuit as shown in FIG. In this example, a mechanical relay that mechanically turns the contact ON / OFF by electromagnetic action is used. The output port of the CPU is set to HI, the transistor TR301 is turned on, and a current is passed through the coil of the mechanical relay X301, thereby generating an electromagnetic action and mechanically opening and closing the contact. FIG. 15A shows an example in which one relay X301 is turned on / off for one transistor TR301. FIG. 15B shows an example in which three relays X301 to X303 are turned ON / OFF for one transistor TR301. Since only one relay is required for each of 21a to 21c and 22a to 22c, Cost is advantageous. If you want to switch at high speed, use a semiconductor relay (a relay that does not have mechanical moving parts and is composed of semiconductor and electronic components such as triacs and resistors, and that is electronically turned on and off). ON / OFF switching may be performed. In addition, when it is necessary to take heat dissipation measures for the drive circuit, heat generation measures may be taken by molding the inverter
Next, motor constant setting corresponding to connection switching will be described. As described above, when compared under the same winding current and three-phase equilibrium, the inverter output voltage at the delta connection is 1 / √3 times that at the star connection. In addition, when compared under the same winding voltage and a condition in which three-phase balance is maintained, the inverter output current in the delta connection is √3 times that in the star connection. Therefore, when performing vector control based on the inverter output voltage / current, it is necessary to set the output voltage according to the number of revolutions to 1 / √3 times in delta connection compared to star connection {particularly In the vector control, an induced voltage constant (a constant having a dimension obtained by dividing the induced voltage by the number of revolutions) is used. Therefore, this constant is set to 1 / √3 times in the delta connection compared to the star connection}. In addition, the winding impedance of the delta connection, which is equivalent to the star connection, is 1/3 that of the star connection. Therefore, the set values of resistance and inductance used for vector control are compared to the star connection during the delta connection. 1/3. Taking these into consideration, the motor constant {output voltage setting (induced voltage constant), resistance value, inductance, etc.} at the time of star / delta connection is set.
Next, overcurrent protection level setting corresponding to connection switching will be described. When the demagnetization protection is performed by monitoring the inverter output current, the observed current value differs depending on the connection specifications, so the protection level is set to a plurality of stages corresponding to the type of connection. In particular, when the same winding voltage is applied and the three-phase equilibrium is maintained, the inverter output current flows by √3 times compared to the star connection in the delta connection, so the inverter output current is monitored. In order to perform demagnetization protection, a protection level that is √3 times higher than the overcurrent protection level at the time of star connection may be set. The overcurrent protection is performed by the
As shown in FIG. 14B, two input ports to the CPU are used, and the upper circuit including the reference value Vref1 is used at the time of star connection, and the input port signal to the CPU obtained there is used. In the delta connection, a lower stage circuit including Vref2 is used, and an input port signal to the CPU obtained there is used. In the case of star connection, the overcurrent detection level condition is expressed by Equation 3 (however, in
The power supply voltage of the CPU is Vcc. Similarly, in the case of delta connection, the overcurrent detection level condition is Equation 4 (in this case as well, a small current flowing into the R101B side is ignored in order to simplify the expression).
Furthermore, when the same winding voltage is applied and the three-phase balance is maintained, the inverter output current flows by √3 times compared to the star connection in the delta connection. By setting each constant
Further, as shown in FIG. 14C, two resistors are provided in series between the input terminal (+ side) of the comparator for inputting the reference potential and the GND, and the switching element is connected in parallel to one of the two resistors. By installing (such as a small signal transistor), an inexpensive and simple two-level overcurrent detection circuit using only one comparator can be realized. In addition, the abnormal signal (input signal to the CPU) to the

Further, the reference voltage Vref (Y) of the comparator is expressed by Equation 8.
However, the power supply voltage of the CPU is Vcc. The transistor is turned on, and the ON voltage between the collector and the emitter is Vce (sat). When Vcomp (−) is equal to or higher than Vref (Y), an abnormal signal (in this case, LO level) is output. Therefore, the overcurrent detection conditional expression at the time of star connection can be expressed by Equation 9.

Here, a reference potential is input to the + side terminal of the comparator and the LO level is used as an abnormal signal. However, if necessary, a reference potential may be input to the − side terminal of the comparator and the HI level may be used as an abnormal signal.
Further, as shown in Equation 16, a difference in invar output current due to a difference in connection is considered.

Further, as shown in FIG. 14D, two resistors are provided in series between the detection signal input terminal (− side) and GND, and a small signal transistor is provided in parallel with one of the two resistors. Thus, even if the reference voltage of the comparator is incorporated in the power module or the like and cannot be operated, a two-level overcurrent detection circuit can be realized by a simple method using only one comparator. In this case, only one input is required for the
Further, the reference voltage Vref (Y) of the comparator is expressed by Equation 18.
When Vcomp (−) becomes equal to or higher than Vref (Y), an abnormal signal (in this case, LO level) is output. Therefore, the overcurrent detection conditional expression at the time of star connection can be expressed by Equation 19.
In the case of the delta connection, the voltage Vsh (Δ) generated at both ends of Rsh is expressed by
Further, the reference voltage Vref (Δ) of the comparator is expressed by Equation 18. However, the power supply voltage of the CPU is Vcc. When Vcomp (−) becomes equal to or higher than Vref (Δ), an abnormal signal (in this case, LO level) is output. Therefore, the overcurrent detection conditional expression at the time of star connection can be expressed by

Next, an abnormal voltage protection level setting corresponding to connection switching will be described. If the level of external noise differs due to changes in winding specifications, you may want to change the abnormal voltage protection level (overvoltage, undervoltage protection, etc.) to multiple stages. In this case, similarly to the change of the overcurrent level, a plurality of detection circuits may be provided for the abnormal voltage level, or a circuit that enables multiple detection levels in one circuit may be provided.
FIG. 16A shows an example of an abnormal voltage protection circuit in which the reference potential is level-shifted and the protection level is multistage according to the connection switching specification. By switching the reference potential level according to the connection switching specification, multi-stage abnormal voltage protection is possible. By switching the detection voltage level according to the connection switching specification, multi-stage abnormal voltage protection is possible. FIG. 16C shows an example of an abnormal voltage protection circuit in which the reference potential is level-shifted and the protection level is multistage according to the connection switching specification. With respect to the comparator input terminal, it is possible to detect an abnormal voltage by setting the detection side and reference side terminals in the reverse of FIG. FIG. 16D shows an example of an abnormal voltage protection circuit in which the detection voltage is level-shifted and the protection level is multistage according to the connection switching specification. With respect to the comparator input terminal, it is possible to detect an abnormal voltage by setting the detection side and reference side terminals in the reverse of FIG. In either case, the level shift operation using resistors and transistors is the same as the level shift for overcurrent protection, and a detailed description thereof will be omitted.

Hereinafter, a refrigerating and air-conditioning apparatus, an electric motor driving apparatus and a method thereof according to a second embodiment of the present invention will be described with reference to the drawings. In the second embodiment, the insertion position of the current sensor used for driving the electric motor is different from that in the first embodiment.
FIG. 2 is an example of a configuration diagram of the electric motor drive device according to the second embodiment. In particular, without using the speed sensor, the inverter output current information obtained from the current transformer inserted between the inverter and the motor winding is used. This shows a case where electric motor driving is performed.
In this case, the inverter output currents Iu to Iw are obtained directly from the
FIG. 3 is an example of a configuration diagram of the refrigerating and air-conditioning apparatus, the electric motor driving apparatus, and the method according to the second embodiment, and without using a speed sensor in particular, between the lower switching element of the inverter and the negative terminal of the electrolytic capacitor. This is a case where the inserted resistance element is used. In this case, the inverter output current information Iu to Iw is obtained directly from the
FIG. 4 is an example of a configuration diagram of the refrigerating and air-conditioning apparatus, the electric motor driving apparatus, and the method according to the second embodiment, and the

FIG. 6 is an example of a configuration diagram of the refrigerating and air-conditioning apparatus, the electric motor driving apparatus, and the method according to the second embodiment, and particularly shows a case where the electric motor is driven using a speed sensor. Other configurations can be realized in the same manner as in the first embodiment except that general speed control is performed using a speed sensor and a PWM signal is generated.
