Abstract
Description

動脈瘤内に配置されるように構成されて前記挿入部に結合された拡張可能な挿入物であって、当該拡張可能な挿入物は、第1部分と第2部分とを有しており、前記第2部分が前記第1部分に結合されており、当該拡張可能な挿入物は、前記第1部分と前記第2部分とが実質的に直線的に整列している第1構成と、前記第2部分が前記第1部分に少なくとも部分的に重なっている第2構成と、の間において移行可能である、拡張可能な挿入物と、を備える装置。 - 前記第1部分及び前記第2部分がそれぞれ多孔性メッシュを含み、前記多孔性メッシュが、前記第1構成にある場合に第1多孔率を有し、前記第2構成にある場合に第2多孔率を有する、請求項1に記載の装置。

- 前記第1多孔性部材及び前記第2多孔性部材の少なくとも一方が、複数の正に帯電した金属フィラメントのウィーブ又はブレードを含む、請求項19に記載の装置。
- 前記第1多孔性部材及び前記第2多孔性部材の少なくとも一方がその拡張構成に向かって付勢されている、請求項19に記載の装置。
- 前記第1多孔性部材及び前記第2多孔性部材の少なくとも一方が、前記第1多孔性部材及び前記第2多孔性部材の他方によって規定された内腔に配置されている、請求項19に記載の装置。

- 前記動脈瘤の頚部における内皮細胞の付着を促進するため、前記第1多孔性部材及び前記第2多孔性部材の少なくとも一方の少なくとも一部が、前記拡張構成において、前記動脈瘤の前記頚部上に配置されるように構成されている、請求項19に記載の装置。
- 前記第1多孔性部材がその折畳構成において第1容積を占有するように構成されており、かつ、その拡張構成において前記第1容積よりも大きい第2容積を占有するように構成されており、
前記第2多孔性部材が、前記第2多孔性部材の第1セグメントが前記第2多孔性部材の第2セグメントと重なるように、その拡張構成において3次元構成に湾曲するように構成されており、その拡張構成にある前記第2多孔性部材が、その拡張構成にある前記第1多孔性部材を受容するように構成された内部領域を規定している、請求項19に記載の装置。 - 細長い内腔を規定するカテーテルの遠位部を血管の動脈瘤の近傍に位置決めする工程と、
拡張可能な挿入物を前記カテーテル内部の第1位置から前記カテーテル外部の第2位置に移動させる工程であって、前記拡張可能な挿入物が第1部分と第2部分とを含み、前記第1部分及び前記第2部分のそれぞれが、前記第1位置にある場合は第1構成、前記第2位置にある場合は第2構成を有し、前記第2構成において前記第1部分が前記第2部分に実質的に重なっている、工程と、を含む方法。 - 前記拡張可能な挿入物の近位端から挿入部を取り外す工程と、
前記カテーテルを通じて前記挿入部を除去する工程と、をさらに含む、請求項28に記載の方法。 - 前記拡張可能な挿入物を移動する前記工程の前に、前記拡張可能な挿入物を前記カテーテル内に挿入する工程であって、前記挿入する工程の前に前記拡張可能な挿入物をその第2構成に付勢する工程をさらに含む、請求項28に記載の方法。
