Abstract
Description
そして、このような酸化段階は、水溶媒内で、約10乃至90℃の反応温度下に約0.5乃至20時間行うことができる。具体的な例で、硫酸および/または硝酸などの溶液状酸化剤の存在下に、前記ポリ芳香族炭化水素を含む混合物を一定量添加し、常温、例えば、約20℃あるいは80℃で約1乃至12時間前記酸化段階を行うことができる。このような酸化段階の反応温度または時間などを調節することによって、前述の分散剤の特性、例えば、ポリ芳香族炭化水素が酸化される程度などを適切に調節して所望の特性を有する分散剤を製造することができる。
ポスコから入手した石油副産物であるピッチ(pitch)に対して次のような酸化工程および精製工程を行って実施例1の分散剤を製造した。
ポスコから入手した石油副産物であるピッチ(pitch;但し、実施例1とは異なるサンプルのピッチ使用)を使用し、酸化反応時間をそれぞれ1時間(実施例2)、3.5時間(実施例3)および7時間(実施例4)と別にしたことを除いては、実施例1と同様な方法で実施例2乃至4の分散剤をそれぞれ製造した。
実施例3および4で得られた分散剤試料薬1mgを薄いホイルの上で約900℃内外の高温で加熱した。この時、ホイルが瞬間的に溶けながらその温度が約1500乃至1800℃まで上昇し、このような高温によって前記試料から気体が発生した。このような気体を捕集および元素分析して炭素、酸素、水素および窒素の各元素含量を測定および分析した。このような分析結果は各分散剤製造のために使用されたピッチに対する分析結果と比較して下記表1に示した。
蒸溜水、エタノール、アセトン、THF、またはNMPなどの極性有機溶媒から選択された溶媒3Lに実施例1乃至4の分散剤3.0gを入れて、ソニケーション(sonication)を通じて再分散させた後に、炭素ナノチューブ10.0gを分散剤溶液に入れて再び一時間程度ソニケーションを行った。その次に、このような炭素ナノチューブ溶液を8000rpmで遠心分離し、分散剤−炭素ナノチューブ沈殿物を回収および乾燥して炭素ナノチューブ粉末型導電材組成物を製造した。
負極活物質として黒鉛と炭素コーティングされたSiOを使用し、結合剤としてSBR(styrene−butadiene rubber)を使用し、増粘剤としてCMC(carboxymethyl cellulose)を使用し、前記実施例5乃至8の導電材組成物を使用し、これらの重量比が黒鉛:SiO:SBR:CMC:導電材組成物が90:5:2:2:1になるように混合して電極形成用スラリー組成物を製造した。このようなスラリー組成物を私用して銅集電体の一面に65umの厚さでコーティングし、乾燥および圧延した後、必要な大きさでパンチングして負極を製造した。このような負極を使用し、通常の方法で正極およびこれを含むリチウム二次電池をそれぞれ製造した。
実施例9で製造されたリチウム二次電池の寿命特性および高率特性を評価し、これと共に実施例5の導電材組成物の代わりに粉末状炭素ナノチューブを私用して製造された比較例の電極およびリチウム二次電池を同様な方法で評価して図7aおよび7bに示した。
Claims (15)
- 炭素ナノチューブ;および
複数種のポリ芳香族炭化水素酸化物を含み、分子量300乃至1000のポリ芳香族炭化水素酸化物を60重量%以上の含量で含む分散剤を含む導電材組成物。 - 炭素ナノチューブ粉末と、炭素ナノチューブ粉末の表面に存在する分散剤を含む請求項1に記載の導電材組成物。
- 複数種のポリ芳香族炭化水素酸化物を元素分析した時、酸素含量が前記分散剤の全体元素含量の12乃至50重量%である請求項1に記載の導電材組成物。
- ポリ芳香族炭化水素酸化物は、5乃至30個のベンゼン環が含まれている芳香族炭化水素に酸素含有官能基が一つ以上結合された構造を有する請求項1に記載の導電材組成物。
- 芳香族炭化水素は、7乃至20個のベンゼン環を構造内に有する請求項4に記載の導電材組成物。
- 酸素含有官能基は、ヒドロキシ基、エポキシ基、カルボキシ基、ニトロ基およびスルホン基からなる群より選択された1種以上を含む請求項4に記載の導電材組成物。
- 炭素ナノチューブの100重量部を基準に、分散剤の1乃至50重量部を含む請求項1に記載の導電材組成物。
- 電池の電極形成のために使用される請求項1に記載の導電材組成物。
- リチウム二次電池の電極スラリー組成物に含まれる請求項8に記載の導電材組成物。
- 電極活物質、請求項1の導電材組成物、結合剤および溶媒を含むリチウム二次電池の電極形成用スラリー組成物。
- 電極活物質は正極活物質または負極活物質を含む請求項10に記載のリチウム二次電池の電極形成用スラリー組成物。
- 結合剤は、ビニリデンフルオリド/ヘキサフルオロプロピレンコポリマー、ポリビニリデンフルオリド、ポリアクリロニトリル、ポリメチルメタクリレート、ポリアクリレート、ポリテトラフルオロエチレン、ポリ(スチレン−ブタジエン)共重合体、アルジネートおよびポリドーパミンからなる群より選択された1種以上を含む請求項10に記載のリチウム二次電池の電極形成用スラリー組成物。
- 溶媒は、水、N−メチルピロリドン、アセトン、テトラヒドロフランおよびデカンからなる群より選択された1種以上を含む請求項10に記載のリチウム二次電池の電極形成用スラリー組成物。
- 電極活物質、導電材組成物および結合剤を合わせた固形分の総含量100重量部に対して、
電極活物質の70乃至98重量部と、
導電材組成物の0.1乃至15重量部と、
結合剤の1.0乃至20重量部を含む請求項10に記載のリチウム二次電池の電極形成用スラリー組成物。 - 集電体と、負極活物質、導電材および結合剤を含み、前記集電体上に形成された負極活物質層を含む負極;
集電体と、正極活物質、導電材および結合剤を含み、集電体上に形成された正極活物質層を含む正極;および
電解質を含み、
前記負極活物質層または正極活物質層に含まれている導電材の少なくとも一つは請求項1の導電材組成物を含むリチウム二次電池。
