Abstract
Description

Claims (20)
- 各々が外面を画定する複数の支柱部を有する拡張可能部分を含むカテーテルチューブであって、前記拡張可能部分が、前記拡張可能部分が第1の直径を有する閉位置と、前記拡張可能部分が前記第1の直径よりも大きな第2の直径を有する開位置との間で動作可能である、カテーテルチューブと、
前記支柱部の少なくとも1つの前記外面に設けられた切開要素であって、前記拡張可能部分が前記開位置にあるときに、血管内にある動脈硬化物質に切り目を入れるように前記支柱部の前記外面から径方向外側に向かって延びる刃部を有する、切開要素と、
を備える血管内カテーテル装置。 - 前記切開要素の前記刃部は、前記拡張可能部分の長手方向軸に平行に延びている、請求項1に記載の血管内カテーテル装置。
- 前記支柱部は、それぞれ、前記支柱部の両端において互いに取り付けられており、前記開位置では外側に向かって弓なりになる、請求項1に記載の血管内カテーテル装置。
- 各支柱部の前記外面は、前記切開部材に隣接する表面領域を有するアーチ状部材を画定し、前記表面領域は、前記切開部材が入れる切り目の深さを制限し、前記切開部材が前記血管の壁部を切ることを防止する、請求項3に記載の血管内カテーテル装置。
- 前記カテーテルチューブ内でスライド運動をするように支持されている内側スリーブをさらに含み、前記内側スリーブは、前記閉位置と前記開位置の間での前記支柱部の移動を選択的に制御するために前記拡張可能部分の遠位端に連結されている、請求項3に記載の血管内カテーテル装置。
- 前記カテーテルチューブはハンドルアセンブリから延びており、前記内側スリーブは制御部材に接続されており、前記制御部材は、前記閉位置と前記開位置の間での前記拡張可能部分の移動を選択的に制御するために前記ハンドルアセンブリに可動に支持されている、請求項5に記載の血管内カテーテル装置。
- 前記ハンドルアセンブリは、前記制御部材の前記ハンドルアセンブリ上の相対的な位置を特定する指標を含む、請求項6に記載の血管内カテーテル装置。
- 前記ハンドルアセンブリは、前記制御部材を前記ハンドルアセンブリ上の選択された位置に固定するためのロック機構を含む、請求項6に記載の血管内カテーテル装置。
- 前記拡張可能部分は弱化領域を画定しており、前記弱化領域は、それぞれ、各支柱部の両端に位置し、ヒンジとして機能するようにしてある、請求項3に記載の血管内カテーテル装置。

- 前記カテーテルチューブはハンドルアセンブリから延びており、前記内側スリーブは制御部材に連結されており、前記制御部材は、前記閉位置と前記開位置の間での前記拡張可能部分の運動を選択的に制御するように前記ハンドルアセンブリに可動に支持されている、請求項15に記載の血管内カテーテル装置。
- 前記ハンドルアセンブリは、前記制御部材の前記ハンドルアセンブリ上の相対的な位置を特定する指標を含む、請求項16に記載の血管内カテーテル装置。
- 前記支柱部は、前記開位置へのバイアスがかけられている、請求項13に記載の血管内カテーテル装置。

前記支柱部の少なくとも1つの前記外面に設けられた切開要素であって、前記拡張可能部分の前記長手方向軸に平行に、かつ、前記拡張可能部分から径方向外側へ延びる刃部を有する切開要素と、
前記カテーテルチューブの中でスライド運動するように支持されている内側スリーブであって、前記閉位置と前記開位置の間での前記拡張可能部分の運動を選択的に制御するように、前記ハンドルアセンブリにある前記制御部材と、前記拡張可能部分の遠位端との間に連結されている、内側スリーブと、
