Claims (9)
- 光ファイバにおいて、
外半径r1及び屈折率Δ1を有する二酸化ゲルマニウムドープ中心コア領域、及び
外半径r2>8μm及び屈折率Δ2を有する第1の内層クラッド領域と、前記内層クラッド領域を囲み、屈折率Δ3を有する第2の外層クラッド領域とを含むクラッド層領域、
を有し、
Δ1>Δ3>Δ2であり、Δ3とΔ2の間の差が0.01より大きく、前記ファイバが1260nm以下の22mカットオフを示し、r1/r2が0.25以上である、
ことを特徴とする光ファイバ。 - 前記第1の内層クラッド領域が0.02重量%より少ないフッ素を含有することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の光ファイバ。
- 前記第1の内層クラッド領域がフッ素及び二酸化ゲルマニウムを実質的に含んでいないことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の光ファイバ。
- r2から少なくとも30μmの半径まで延びる長さにわたりΔ3>Δ2であることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の光ファイバ。
- 単一モード光ファイバにおいて、
外半径r1及び屈折率Δ1を有する中心コア領域、及び
フッ素ドープシリカを含むクラッド層領域、
を有し、
前記クラッド層領域が、外半径r2及び屈折率Δ2を有する第1の内層クラッド領域と、屈折率Δ3を有する第2の外層クラッド領域とを含み、r1/r2が0.25より大きい、
ことを特徴とするファイバ。 - 前記コア領域が少なくとも2重量%の二酸化ゲルマニウムを含有することを特徴とする請求項6に記載のファイバ。
- 前記ファイバが1260nm以下の22mケーブルカットオフを示すことを特徴とする請求項6に記載のファイバ。
