Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to an electromagnetic clutch.
For example, an electromagnetic clutch described in Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 2006-300288 (Patent Document 1) is employed as a pilot clutch of a driving force transmission device that transmits a driving force of a vehicle, and forms a magnetic path to each other. A plurality of clutch plates are provided between the armature and the side wall provided so as to be relatively movable in the axial direction. This clutch plate includes a clutch plate whose rotation is restricted by one of the two members rotating relative to each other and a clutch plate whose rotation is restricted by the other of the two members, and generates a frictional force between both clutch plates. By doing so, the rotational force was transmitted between the two members.
Such a configuration using a plurality of clutch plates is necessary to ensure the transmission torque of the electromagnetic clutch, but the cost of the clutch plates themselves is increased, and the work for assembling the clutch plates is also required at the time of manufacture. Invite cost. Further, since the magnetic path reciprocates through each clutch plate, the magnetic resistance increases, and the current to be passed through the electromagnetic coil increases accordingly. Furthermore, in the case of a wet clutch in which the axial length of the electromagnetic clutch portion is increased and lubricating oil is interposed between the clutch plates, so-called drag torque when the electromagnetic clutch is not operating (when the electromagnet is not energized). Tends to be large. Therefore, for example, when a conventional electromagnetic clutch is used as a pilot clutch of a driving force transmission device that transmits the driving force of a vehicle, an unintended driving force is transmitted to the downstream side of the torque, which may adversely affect fuel consumption and driving performance. There is also.
The present invention has been made in view of such circumstances, and an object thereof is to provide an electromagnetic clutch capable of reducing cost, space saving, and reduction of drag torque when configured as a wet clutch. A feature of the invention according to claim 9 is that in any one of
The high magnetic resistance portion is provided to be exposed on the other side of the side wall,
The friction material is provided so as to slide with respect to the magnetic body located on the other side of the side wall.
The feature of the invention according to claim 10 is that in
The periphery of the friction material is formed in an uneven shape,
The wall surface of the recess of the armature is formed in a concavo-convex shape so as to engage in a circumferential direction with respect to the concavo-convex shape of the friction material.
According to the first aspect of the present invention configured as described above, the side wall and the armature are provided in a rotationally restricted manner on each of the two members capable of relative rotation. The friction material is provided non-adhering to the side wall and the armature so as to be interposed between the side wall and the armature. A rotational force is transmitted between the side wall and the armature via the friction material.
That is, the side wall and the armature function as a conventional clutch plate. Therefore, when the side wall is fixed to one of the two members that rotate relative to each other, it is sufficient to provide the armature so as to be movable in the axial direction with respect to the other of the two members. This eliminates the need for the plurality of clutch plates disposed between the side wall and the armature, thereby reducing cost and space.
Further, the side wall and the armature are members necessary for configuring the magnetic path, and are not members that decrease the magnetic flux density of the magnetic path unlike the conventional clutch plate. Therefore, an increase in magnetic resistance can be suppressed, an energization current of the electromagnetic coil can be reduced, and power consumption can be reduced.
Furthermore, since the clutch plates do not slide during relative rotation of the two members when the electromagnetic clutch is not operating, drag torque can be reduced.
Further, the rotational force is transmitted between the side wall and the armature through the friction material. The friction material may be any material that can generate a friction force with the side wall and can generate a friction force with the armature. Therefore, it is not necessary to restrict the rotation to one of the two members that rotate relative to each other as in the conventional clutch plate. Therefore, the friction material may have a relatively low rigidity. Therefore, a thin material can be applied as the friction material. As a result, the influence of the friction material on the magnetic flux density of the magnetic path is small. Furthermore, the friction material is provided non-adhering to the side wall and the armature. Even if non-bonded, the friction material need only generate a frictional force between the side wall and the armature. Thus, by providing the friction material in a non-adhesive manner, manufacturing becomes very easy and inexpensive.
According to the invention which concerns on
According to the invention which concerns on Claim 3, even if a friction material is non-adhering with respect to a side wall and an armature, it can prevent reliably detaching | leave from a recess by the separation | decrease prevention structure. Thereby, the function as an electromagnetic clutch by a friction material can be exhibited reliably.
According to the invention of claim 4, even when the armature is farthest from the side wall, at least a part of the friction material enters the recess. Therefore, it is possible to reliably prevent the friction material from leaving the recess.
Here, a more specific structure of the separation preventing structure can be as follows.
The separation preventing structure may be a structure that restricts movement of the armature in the axial direction with respect to the side wall by a snap ring fixed to the two members.
In addition, in the case of including a cam member that moves away from the other side of the side wall in the axial direction as the rotation difference between the two members becomes smaller, the separation preventing structure is configured so that the cam member is closest to the side wall. It is good also as a structure which controls the movement to the said axial direction with respect to the said side wall of the said armature, when located in the position which adjoins.
According to these structures, the separation preventing structure can be configured reliably and easily.
According to the invention which concerns on Claim 5, it can prevent reliably that a friction material detaches | leaves from a recess.
According to the invention of claim 6, when the friction material is in contact with the side wall and the bottom surface of the recess of the armature and there is a difference in rotation, the friction material is substantially It can be fixed in the recess of the armature. When the relative rotation is performed, the friction material is fixed in the recess of the armature, so that the state in which the friction material is stably fitted in the recess can be maintained.
According to the invention according to claim 7, the friction coefficient between the friction material and the bottom surface of the recess of the armature is surely higher than the friction coefficient between the friction material and the side wall, and the friction is generated only between the friction material and the side wall. Since sliding occurs, the transmitted rotational force becomes more stable.
According to the invention which concerns on Claim 8, when using iron as a magnetic body and using stainless steel and copper as a high magnetic resistance part, stainless steel and copper are easy to wear compared with iron. Therefore, when the high magnetoresistive portion made of stainless steel or copper is rubbed against the friction material in a state of being exposed on the other side of the side wall, the high magnetoresistive portion is worn faster than the magnetic body. Therefore, there is a possibility that a problem occurs in durability. Therefore, as in the present invention, the high magnetoresistive portion is cast in the recess of the magnetic body so that the high magnetoresistive portion is not exposed to the other side of the side wall, so that the surface on the other side of the side wall is entirely made of magnetic material. Can be formed. Thereby, it becomes strong with respect to abrasion. That is, durability can be made favorable.
According to the ninth aspect of the present invention, even if stainless steel or copper used in a region having a higher magnetic resistance than a magnetic material is more easily worn than iron as a magnetic material, the magnetic material is located around the region having a high magnetic resistance. By sliding with the friction material, it is possible to suppress wear in a region having a high magnetic resistance.
According to the invention which concerns on Claim 10, rotation of a friction material can be reliably carried out with respect to an armature. Therefore, the friction material can be substantially fixedly provided on the armature.

Further, the diameter of the radially inner wall surface of the
The
The spline on the inner peripheral side of the
The
As a detailed shape, the inner diameter of the
The
As described above, the
Here, the friction coefficient between the
The
The moving
The
In the
The
The
Next, the operation of the driving
First, the case where a current is supplied to the electromagnetic coil of the
Thus, the formation of the circulating magnetic path attracts the
When the
As a result, the inner
Here, by controlling the amount of current supplied to the electromagnetic coil of the
Next, a case where no current is supplied to the electromagnetic coil of the
If the
Here, when no current is supplied to the electromagnetic coil of the
In this state, the gap between the opening of the
According to the driving force transmission device having the above-described configuration, the
Further, the
Further, the
Further, the

<Second embodiment>

The moving
The
In the present embodiment, substantially the same effects as in the first embodiment are achieved.
<Third embodiment>
The driving force transmission device 3 according to the third embodiment will be described with reference to FIG. FIG. 3 is an axial sectional view of the driving force transmission device 3 of the third embodiment. The driving force transmission device 3 in the third embodiment is different from the driving
The
The high
In this case, the high

The
The inner diameter of the
Here, the circulating magnetic path when the
