Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a resin composition excellent in oil resistance, chemical resistance, heat resistance, impact resistance and rigidity, which can be used in the electric / electronic field, automobile field, and other various industrial material fields, and further, as a molding processing material. In particular, the present invention relates to a resin composition having excellent processability in sheet and film molding.
Conventionally, non-reinforced polyphenylene sulfide has been used in the electronic field because of its good flow characteristics due to its crystallinity, and excellent heat resistance and water resistance, but it has a disadvantage of poor toughness (impact strength) as a molding material. Therefore, it is difficult to use for various molded products (particularly large molded products). Further, due to its excellent flow characteristics, there is a problem that drawdown or the like is likely to occur in film and sheet molding.
Therefore, many attempts have been made to blend or alloy with various resins, various thermoplastic elastomers, etc. in order to eliminate these disadvantages of polyphenylene sulfide.
For example, a method of using a copolymer of styrene and an ethylenically unsaturated monomer having an oxazonyl group for improving the miscibility of polyphenylene sulfide and polyphenylene ether has been proposed (for example, see Patent Document 1).
In addition, a resin composition in which a copolymer of a vinyl aromatic compound and a conjugated diene compound and / or a hydrogenated product thereof is added as an elastomer component to the resin components described in these prior documents to further improve toughness has been proposed. (For example, refer to Patent Document 2, Patent Document 3, and Patent Document 4.)
In addition, the sheet and film molding did not satisfy the processability requirements.
An object of the present invention is to provide a resin composition excellent in impact resistance without impairing the excellent molding fluidity and mechanical properties of a resin composition comprising polyphenylene sulfide, polyphenylene ether and an impact resistance imparting agent. Furthermore, it is providing the resin composition which is excellent in workability in sheet | seat and film shaping | molding.
In view of the current situation, the present inventors, in a resin composition comprising a polyphenylene sulfide resin and a polyphenylene ether resin and an elastomer, as a result of intensive studies, by using a specific amount of a specific polyphenylene sulfide resin and a specific elastomer, The present inventors have found that the heat resistance, the reduction in rigidity and the workability of sheet and film molding, which have been problems in the conventional impact resistance imparting composition, can be improved, and at the same time, the impact resistance can be improved.

Examples include polymerization in the presence of hydrogen sulfide and sodium hydroxide or sodium aminoalkanoate, and self-condensation of p-chlorothiophenol. Among them, amide solvents such as N-methylpyrrolidone and dimethylacetamide, sulfolane, etc. A method of reacting sodium sulfide with p-dichlorobenzene in a sulfone solvent is suitable. These production methods are not particularly limited as long as they are obtained by known methods. For example, US Pat. No. 2,513,188, Japanese Patent Publication No. 44-27671, Japanese Patent Publication No. 45-3368 JP-B-52-12240, JP-A-61-225217 and U.S. Pat. Further, the amount of oligomer extracted with methylene chloride as the component (a) of the present invention is 0.7% by weight or less, and the —SX group (S is a sulfur atom, X is an alkali metal or hydrogen atom) is 15 μmol / g or more. Is polyphenylene sulfide.
A resin composition comprising the impact imparting agent of the present invention by using a polyphenylene sulfide resin satisfying both the amount of oligomer extracted by methylene chloride and the concentration of -SX group (S is a sulfur atom, X is an alkali metal or hydrogen atom). In the product, the miscibility of polyphenylene sulfide and polyphenylene ether and the tensile strength and Izod impact strength of the molded product obtained from the resin composition can be improved.
That the range of the oligomer extraction amount is in the above range means that the amount of oligomer (about 10 to 30 mer) in PPS is small.
Here, the amount of oligomer extracted with methylene chloride can be measured by the following method. That is, 5 g of PPS powder is added to 80 ml of methylene chloride, Soxhlet extraction is performed for 4 hours, and then cooled to room temperature, and the methylene chloride solution after extraction is transferred to a weighing bottle. Further, the container used for the above extraction is washed in three portions with a total of 60 ml of methylene chloride, and the washing liquid is collected in the weighing bottle. Next, the methylene chloride in the weighing bottle is evaporated and removed by heating to about 80 ° C., the residue is weighed, and the ratio of the amount of oligomer present in the PPS can be determined from the amount of the residue.
The quantification of -SX group can be carried out by the following method. That is, after the PPS powder was previously dried at 120 ° C. for 4 hours, 20 g of this dried PPS powder was added to 150 g of N-methyl-2-pyrrolidone, and vigorously stirred and mixed at room temperature for 30 minutes so as to eliminate the powder aggregate. To do.
After the slurry is filtered, washing is repeated seven times using 1 liter of warm water of about 80 ° C. each time. The obtained filter cake is slurried again in 200 g of pure water, and 1N hydrochloric acid is added to adjust the pH of the slurry to 4.5. Next, the mixture is stirred for 30 minutes at 25 ° C., filtered, and then washed six times with 1 liter of warm water at about 80 ° C. The obtained filter cake is slurried again in 200 g of pure water, then titrated with 1N sodium hydroxide, and the amount of -SX groups present in the PPS is determined from the amount of sodium hydroxide consumed.

A preferred embodiment of the present invention using an extruder will be described below. More preferably, a kneading section is provided between them. Although the raw material supply method to the 2nd-4th raw material supply port is not specifically limited, Than the mere addition supply from an extruder 2nd-4th raw material supply port open port, it is from an extruder side open port. It is more stable and preferable to supply using a forced side feeder. In particular, when the powder, filler, etc. are contained in a very large amount as in the resin composition of the present invention, the forced side feeder supplied from the extruder side is more preferable, and the forced side feeder is the second to fourth raw materials. More preferably, the powder, filler and the like are provided separately at the supply port. And the upper open port of the extruder 2nd-4th raw material supply port can also be made open in order to extract the air to carry. The melt-kneading temperature and screw rotation speed at this time are not particularly limited, but can normally be arbitrarily selected from a melt-kneading temperature of 300 to 350 ° C. and a screw rotation speed of 100 to 1200 rpm.

3. Examples include a method in which the whole amount of the components (a) to (e) is supplied from the first raw material supply port and melt-kneaded.
In particular, the resin composition obtained by the above production method 1 is more preferable because a resin composition excellent in heat resistance, impact resistance and rigidity can be obtained as compared with other production methods 2 to 3.
By adopting such a production method, the obtained resin composition can take a uniform dispersion form in which the components (a) to (e) are excellent, and the compatibilizing agent (c) The compounding effect is most remarkably exhibited, and the impact imparting agent of the component (d) is uniformly dispersed in the component (b), and further, by suppressing crushing during the melt kneading of the inorganic filler of the component (e), excellent A resin composition having excellent heat resistance, rigidity and impact resistance can be obtained.
The resin composition of the present invention thus obtained remarkably improves the reduction in heat resistance and rigidity, which are disadvantages of the conventional polyphenylene sulfide resin composition containing an impact resistance imparting agent, and is excellent in impact resistance. . For this reason, the resin composition of this invention can be widely shape | molded as a molded object of the various components according to the objective by injection molding, extrusion molding, extrusion profile formation, hollow molding, and compression molding.
