Abstract

E' descritta una catena di cingolo senza fine con una boccola rotativa che utilizza cuscinetti a manicotto per montare in modo rotativo i collari di estremità interna delle maglie intorno al perno. L'articolazione della catena di cingolo è chiusa a tenuta e lubrificata. Mezzi di tenuta per l'articolazione comprendono l'uso di un secondo gruppo di guarnizioni per formare una tenuta tra la boccola rotativa ed i collari di estremità interna della maglia. Una struttura speciale delle maglie permette che la catena riceva il secondo gruppo di guarnizioni senza perdita di Integrità strutturale nella catena o aumento svantaggioso dello scartamento delle rotaie ("G") della catena. La catena di cingolo utilizza inoltre mezzi per interbloccare meccanicamente i collari di estremità esterna delle maglie con le parti di estremità del perno per eliminare un gioco di estremità dell'articolazione.
