Abstract
A sintered bearing (1) which is obtained by shaping a starting powder material said starting powder material comprising a graphite powder and a metal powder in a mold and then sintering wherein a granulated powder is used as the graphite powder and the ratio by area of free graphite in a bearing surface (1a) is 25 80%. The average grain diameter of the granulated powder is 60 500 µm. The blending ratio of the granulated powder in the starting powder material is 3 15 wt%.
