Abstract

928,420. Agricultural implements. J. C. HETHERINGTON. Oct. 18, 1960 [Oct. 19, 1959], No. 28322/59. Class 6(1). An implement comprises a rotary bladed wheel 30 for removing a top surface layer of soil and blades 50 for moving the soil laterally and a second set of plough blades 51a for removing a second layer of soil which is broken up by blades 48 and deflected laterally by portions 51c of the ploughs. The wheel 30 and blades 48 are driven by gearing from a tractor power shaft. The implement is attached to the hydraulic lift linkage 5, 7 of the tractor. In a modification the wheel 30 is replaced by skim coulters and rotary blades are placed to the rear of the plough bodies to work on the soil after it has been turned over by the plough.
