Abstract

The motorised appliance has a gear casing (1), on which are arranged a motor (10) for driving implement shafts (2, 3) and a rearwardly and upwardly extending operating handle (9) for guiding the appliance. Chopping implements (22) are arranged on the front implement shaft (2), whilst attached to the further shaft (3) provided at the rear are implements (23) for working the uppermost soil layer, for example levelling the cultivated area, for hilling up or for other work associated with ground cultivation. The implements (23) on the further shaft (3) are arranged so as to rotate at a distance from the chopping implements (22), their circumferential speed and depth of penetration differing from those of the chopping implements (22). By means of this motor-driven ground-working appliance, an encrusted cultivation area is prepared in a single operation for subsequent planting or for sowing.
