Abstract

856,752. Agricultural implements. ROTARY HOES Ltd. March 4, 1958 [March 7, 1957], No. 7543/57. Class 6(1). A rotary cultivator carried by a tractor is provided with a rotor 18 which is driven from the tractor power shaft by gearing 21 accommodated within the volume swept by the rotor. As shown the rotor 18 is driven by means of a gearing 21 from a shaft 68 driven by chain gearing from a shaft 25 driven from a shaft 34 by bevel gearing 36, the shaft 34 being driven from the tractor power shaft. The gearing 36 is mounted in a housing 37 which may be angularly adjusted in the tractor casing 15 to tilt the rotor 18. A hydraulic cylinder 30 is connected to the chain casing 22 to raise or lower the rotor. Specification 856,630 is referred to.
