880,569. Stair-carpet fasteners. READ, R. R. Aug. 26, 1959 [Aug. 30, 1958], No. 27915/58. Class 52(5) A stair-carpet fastener comprises a bracket 1 which is fixed at the corner of a stair, and has a nose 2 over which a carpet is curved and held by means of a clip 4 having two arms 5 which engage the carpet on each side of the nose 2, the clip having a centre pin 7 which engages the bracket so that the clip can pivot about an axis between the clamping arms.
