Abstract

794,608. Clamp fastenings: stud and socket fastenings. HENSEL, E;. Dec. 9, 1955, No. 35413/55. Class 44 [Also in Group XIV] A fitting of synthetic plastic, for the disengageable connection of furniture parts &c. comprises a hooked peg,4 attached to one part 5 and a plate 6 rotatable in a hole 3 in the other part 7 and having a cam surface 8 with oblique face 12 which engages the hook 10 of peg 4 to draw the parts together as the plate 6 is rotated. In a modification (Fig. 6) a plate 15 with cam 14 is rotatably mounted on a bolt 17 glued to furniture part 16 and the cam engages a hooked peg 19. In each form of the device the cam is symmetrical so as to be usable either right handed or left handed.
