785,105. Scrapers for roller mills. BUHLER. GEB. Jan. 24; 1956 [Jan. 28, 1955], No. 2311/56. Class 59 In a hydraulically-operated scraping device for roller mills, there is provided a pump k for building up and maintaining constant the pressure of the hydraulic fluid and a reducing valve i for controlling and setting the pressure applied to the scraper blade-holder a. The blade-holder is slidable in guide slots in support block e which are rotatable about trunnions which are secured to the frame of the roller mill by means of screws g. The scraper blade b is pressed against the roller h of a roller mill by means of single-acting hydraulic cylinders d the pistons c of which are acted on by springs s. The hydraulic fluid is distributed in the cylinders d by means of a pipe n and flexible tubes o. A reversing valve t is moved to the venting position when it is desired to remove the bladeholder. In a modification, Fig. 4 (not shown), the hydraulic cylinders are double acting. In a further modification; Figs. 5 and 6 (not shown), the hydraulic cylinders are combined with the trunnions for the support blocks.
