Abstract

759,116. Rotary harrows. MASCHINENFABRIK FAHR AKT.-GES. Sept. 30, 1954 [Oct. 5, 1953; March 19, 1954], No. 28192/54. Class 6 (1). A rotary harrow which is driven from the power take-off of a tractor comprises rhomboidal blades mounted on a transverse shaft so as to be angularly offset with respect to eath other, the ends of the blades being bent to form inclined surfaces projecting on opposite sides of the blades. The device may be attached to the tractor by means of a three-point linkage consisting of links 2 and a member 3, the links 2 being connected to the lifting arm 28 of a lifting mechanism on the tractor. The drive of the bladed shaft is effected from the power take-off 13 of the tractor through a universallyjointed shaft 14 and a further shaft journalled in the supporting arm 7. The blades are covered by a sheet metal guard 18 carrying a row of teeth 19 at its edge, and their depth of operation may be regulated by means of the applied weights 20. The appliance carries track erasers 17. The device may be attached to the draw-bar of the tractor by means of an articulated connection such as a Hooke's joint.
