Cultivator blades are mounted on arms 6 attached to hubs 4 on a shaft 3, the knife and hub arm meeting surfaces being inclined to the axis of the shaft 3 so that the knives project laterally from the plane of rotation of the hubs. The shaft 3 is driven by bevel gearing in a case 2.
