Abstract

541,391. Valve amplifying circuits. GENERAL ELECTRIC CO., Ltd., and MACFADYEN, K. A. Aug. 2, 1940, No. 12521. [Class 40 (v)] In a push-pull amplifier with negative feedback applied to both halves of a push-pull driver stage from a push-pull output stage the points between which the negative feedback is applied are connected by a centre tapped potentiometer shunted by a low resistance centre tapped choke. In this way feedback of an in-phase voltages to these points is prevented. The Figure shows driver and output stages 14, 141 and 2, 21 respectively coupled by a bridge transformer 16 as described in Specification 487,953. Feedback is applied to the prints 5, 51 shunted by the choke 10.
