Abstract

490,656. Valve amplifying circuits. HAZELTINE CORPORATION. April 22, 1938, No. 12078. Convention date, May 11, 1937. [Class 40 (v)] A broad-band amplifier comprises an amplifying stage the output of which has appreciable shunt capacitance and is coupled in the common cathode circuit of the following stage, so that the amplifier stages have complementary response characteristics. The Figure shows a first stage comprising valves 14, 15, 16 in parallel having an output resistance 23 which produces negative feedback in the stage 17. The cathode of the stage 17 is directly connected to the preceding anodes so that for direct current the valves are in series.
