Abstract
529,359. Dry shavers. BAHR, G. F. May 30, 1939, No. 15935. Convention date, March 4. [Class 131] In a dry shaver the driving connection between the cutter member and the drive shaft includes means for pressing the cutter member against the guard plate but prevents ejection of the cutter member on removal of the guard plate. The flat cutter 20 is pivotally mounted on pin 21 in a slot in a coupling member 16 with which the drive shaft 12 is in driving connection by a pin and slot arrangement 17, 18. A disc 35 on the drive shaft 12 forms an abutment for a spring 34 pressing the coupling member and its cutter outwardly towards the guard plate 24 by means of a washer 36. On removal of the guard plate the coupling member and the cutter 20 will be pressed outwardly until the washer 36 comes into contact with the pin 18 when no further action to eject the cutter is possible.
