507,870. Fuel-injection pumps. L'ORANGE, R. June 8, 1938, No. 17056. [Class 102 (i)] A body of a multicylinder fuel injection pump is made from a cast, pressed or drawn block which is machined to provide a bore 1 for the camshaft O and bearings, bores 2 for the tappets Q, bores 3 for the cylinder barrels R, bores 4 for suction and byepass, and bores 5 for rack S and access from bores 6 for adjusting the pinions T. The machining of bore 2 is facilitated by providing bore 7. The bores 2 are so spaced that the flat faces Q 1 of the tappets Q engage and prevent turning. The pinions T are split at V to permit adjustment on the regulating sleeves U.
