Abstract

492,876. Spray carburetters. STARZICZNY, J., and WOLK, T. April 4, 1938, No. 10189. [Class 7 (iii)] In a floatless carburetter, fuel admitted to a chamber 9b, past a valve 11 actuated by the throttle 31, is delivered past a manuallyoperable valve 23 into a chamber 24a. from which it enters the mixing-chamber through orifices 24b controlled by a suction-actuated air valve 25a. The valve 11 is adjustably mounted in a sleeve 12 having a lever 18 connected to the throttle spindle 32. To prevent damage due to back-firing, a spring-loaded relief valve 5b is provided in the mixing-chamber.
