Abstract

490,248. Indicating liquid levels. MOHR, A., (trading as MOHR FABRIK FUR FEINMESSANLAGEN, A.). March 17, 1937,. No. 7815. [Class 123 (i)] A liquid-container 23 is connected by pipe 5 to a vessel 1 at a lower level, and an air pump 9 supplies air to a dip-pipe 16 and to the vessel 1, the pressure corresponding to the liquid depth in the container 23 being indicated on a graduated tube 25. The top of the tube 25 and the top of the container 23 are connected by a pipe 21. The indicating liquid in vessel 1 may be run off through valve 2 and fresh liquid run in from the container 23 to a level determined by the overflow 6. The valve 2 is closed and the pump operated until the level indicated in the tube 25 remains constant. Valves 19, 20 prevent rise of liquid out of the pipes 16, 25 respectively.
