Abstract

461,924. Tank vehicles. TENNA1VT, W. J. (Tatra Works Ltd. Motor Car & Railway Carriage & Wagon Builders) Nov. 7, 1935, No. 30844. Addition to 461,897. [Classes 103 (iv) and 108 (i)] The tank vehicle described in the parent Specification is modified so that the longitudinal side members of an independent chassis frame and other essential parts such as the driving shaft may extend through or project into the interior of the tank. As shown the chassis longitudinals 1 and the driving shaft 4 pass through the tank surrounding tubes 2, 5 being provided. The members 1 may however be welded to the tank end plates and the surrounding tubes 2 dispensed with. The parts may project into the tank by means of recesses in the latter and any necessary transverse members such as axles may also pass through or project into the tank.
