431,901. Motor-vehicle steering-gear. DAIMLER-BENZ AKT.-GES., Untert³rkheim, Stuttgart, Germany. Nov. 23, 1934, No. 33778. Convention date, Nov. 23, 1933. Addition to 400,101. [Class 79 (v)] In a vehicle having a central frame member b and a rack r slidable in a casing e to steer the road wheels, as described in the parent Specification, the casing is so mounted on the frame as to be capable of a rocking movement to enable the inclination of the steering column h to be adjusted. In the construction shown the rack casing e has extensions c, d pivotally connected by bolts f to a cross member a secured to the central frame member b, the bolts being tightened to hold the casing in the desired position. The rack r is connected by joints n and rods to the steering arms of the road wheels.
