Abstract

401,698. Spray carburetters. BOSCH AKT.-GES., R., 4, Militarstrasse, Stuttgart, Germany. Feb. 16, 1932, No. 4529. Convention date, Feb. 18, 1931. [Class 7 (iii).] To prevent fuel from being drawn into the induction passage from an accelerating pump during normal running, it is delivered by such pump past an atmospheric opening. The pump piston i is actuated from the throttle valve e through linkage f, g, h, and delivers fuel through a pipe m. The outlet q of this pipe terminates short of an opening o in the wall of the induction passage. In a modification, Fig. 2, the pipe m is integral with the wall, and has an opening p<1> past which the fuel is delivered by a constriction q<1>. Specification 374,509 is referred to. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 describes also the delivery of the fuel from the pipe m through a small chamber open to the atmosphere. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
