Local-time calculators. - Relatively rotatable time and place graduated members for comparing local or standard times are also marked to distinguish previous or succeeding days from the local current day. In the form shown in Figs. 1 and 2, the hours are marked on a rim d forming part of a cylinder a and the localities are inscribed on a disc b rotatable by a knob c. At the points 24 and 12 on the cylinder and disc respectively are placed marks SP and P<1>S<1> denoting " succeeding " and " preceding " and facilitating the reading of the day obtaining at the various places. Lists of places additional to those on the disc b and falling within the same time zones may be given on the cylinder as shown in Fig. 2. In a modification, the time and place scales are borne by coaxial cylinders.
