J i g g e r machines.- Means for automatically reversing the travel of the fabric comprise longitudinal rods 4 each pivoted at both ends on one of the drums, which rods serve both to secure the ends of the fabric and to operate the reversing device. The fabric is wrapped under a rod 4 and round the drum, and during winding or unwinding the fabric holds the rod in a groove 3 in the drum. The rod is mounted on arms 7 pivoted at 8 to discs secured to the drum, and on completion of unwinding the rod leaves the groove 3 and moves an arm 11 inwards to engage and operate a cam 12 connected to the reversing gear. To hold, the arm 11 out of action and the rod 4 in the groove 3 when setting the device, a lever 16, with a projection 15 acting on the arm 11, and with a spring catch 17, is provided.
