Abstract

<PICT:0359881/IV/1> An automatic reversing gear for jiggers for the wet treatment of webs of fabric is operated by a lever 5 pivoted on the winding drum 2 and adapted to engage a cam surface on a sleeve 3 connected to the reversing gear. The trip rod 8, which allows the lever 5 to engage the sleeve 3 when the fabric is wound off the drum, comprises a flat rod resting on the drum and exchangeably connected to the lever 5. The rods are provided in different lengths to correspond with different widths of the webs to be treated. When the rod 8 is removed a plunger 10 carrying a finger 13 is pressed out by a spring 11 and locks the reversing gear.
